2011 Calder Cup Playoffs
The 2011 Calder Cup playoffs of the American Hockey League began on April 13, 2011. The sixteen teams that qualified, eight from each conference, played best-of-seven series for division semifinals, finals and conference finals. Then the Eastern Conference Champion Binghamton Senators defeated the Western Conference Champion Houston Aeros four games to two to win the Calder Cup, the first one in Binghamton franchise history. Binghamton Senators
The Binghamton Senators were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) that played from 2002 to 2017. Nicknamed the B-Sens, they played in Binghamton, New York, at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. The B-Sens were minor league affiliates of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League. In 2017, the B-Sens' franchise was relocated by the Ottawa Senators to become the Belleville Senators. Binghamton then replaced the franchise with the Binghamton Devils, the AHL franchise of the New Jersey Devils. They were the AHL's 2010–11 Calder Cup champions. Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and a member of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team plays its home games at Canada Life Centre, the home arena of its parent club, Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). The franchise was founded in 1994 as the Minnesota Moose, then playing in the International Hockey League (1945–2001), International Hockey League (IHL). The Moose played fifteen seasons—five in the IHL (1996–2001) and ten in the AHL (2001–2011)—during their first tenure in Winnipeg. Dale Weise
Dale Kenton Weise (born August 5, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He played for the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks, and Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 111th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. Playing career Junior Weise played three years of major junior ice hockey for the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League (WHL). During his rookie WHL season in 2005–06, he scored 18 points (four goals and 14 assists) over 53 games. Blake Parlett
Blake Parlett (born May 13, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently contracted to Nürnberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Parlett played Major Junior Hockey in the Ontario Hockey League, the last as an overage player for Mississauga St. Michael's Majors. He turned professional with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League during the 2010–11 season. Parlett split his first season between the Wolf Pack/Whale and ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors, earning a starting position in the 2011 ECHL All-Star Game. Colin Stuart (ice Hockey)
Colin Stuart (born July 8, 1982) is an American former professional ice hockey winger. He played with the Atlanta Thrashers and Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League. He is the older brother of Mark Stuart and Mike Stuart, and is the son of Mayo Clinic physician Michael Stuart. Playing career Stuart was drafted in the NHL by the Atlanta Thrashers with the 135th pick in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft from Colorado College. He joined the Thrashers organization in 2004 and was assigned to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves as well as playing five games for the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators. Corey Tropp
Corey Tropp (born July 25, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey player who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He last played for the Vienna Capitals of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). He has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres, the latter of which drafted him in the third round, 89th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Luke Adam (born June 18, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently playing with the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets. Adam was drafted by Buffalo in the second round, 44th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. The XL Center (originally known as the Hartford Civic Center) is a multi-purpose arena and convention center located in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Cross Insurance Arena (formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) is a multi-purpose arena located in Portland, Maine. The Oklahoma City Barons were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team's first season was 2010–11 AHL season, 2010–11. They played their home games at the Cox Convention Center, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
