2010–11 UAE Pro League
The 2010–11 UAE Pro League season (known as ''Etisalat Pro League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 36th edition of top-level football in the United Arab Emirates. This was the third Professional season in the history of the country. Al-Wahda were defending champions from the 2009–10 campaign. Ajman Club and Emirates Club were relegated from the previous season. Dubai Club and Al-Ittihad were promoted from the UAE Division 1 Group A. The campaign began on 26 August 2010 and ended on 9 June 2011. After being runner-up for three times in a row Al Jazira secured their 1st Pro League title after beating Al Wasl 4–0 on 16 May 2011. Becoming the 3rd club to achieve the Double in country history after Al Nasr in 1986 and Al Wasl in 2007. Al-Jazira Club
Al Jazira Club is an Emirati professional football club based in Abu Dhabi, that currently competes in the UAE Pro League. History Al-Jazira was established in 1974 as a merger between ''Khalidiyah'' and ''Al Bateen''. The club struggled to stay in the league, getting relegated on multiple occasions during the 1980s and 1990s, but experienced a recent success when Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan invested into the club in the 2000s. Since his purchase, they won their first league title in 2011 and two more league titles in 2017 and 2021. Al Jazira have produced talented homegrown players such as Ali Mabkhout and Khalfan Mubarak and many others that would end up playing for the UAE national team. Ajman Club
Ajman Club (Arabic: نادي عجمان) is an Emirati football club based in Ajman. In 2015, Ajman was relegated to the second division, but managed to climb back to the top flight in 2017. Al Jazira Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium
Al-Jazira Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium ( ar, ستاد محمد بن زايد) is a multi-purpose stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football and cricket matches and is the home ground of Al Jazira Club. It is named after Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Capacity change The stadium's original capacity was 15,000 but it was expanded. Half of the project was completed by December 2006 and the stadium hosted the 18th Arabian Gulf Cup the next month. Al Wasl Football Club ( ar, نادي الوصل لكرة القدم) is an Emirati professional football club based in Dubai, that competes in the United Arab Emirates Football League. It is a part of the multi-sports club Al Wasl SC. Argentina-legend Diego Maradona was the manager of the club in 2011 and 2012. The club has a supporters group, named as the ''Ultras Junoon''.
