2010–11 Stevenage F.C. Season
The 2010–11 season was Stevenage F.C.'s first season in the Football League, where the club competed in League Two. This article shows statistics of the club's players in the season, and also lists all matches that the club played during the season. Their first-place finish and subsequent promotion means it will be their first ever season of playing in the Football League, having featured in the Conference National for the past sixteen years. The season also marked the first season that the club played under its new name – Stevenage Football Club, dropping 'Borough' from its title as of 1 June 2010. It was the third year in charge for manager Graham Westley during his second spell at the club; having previously managed the Hertfordshire side from 2003 to 2006. Stevenage F
Stevenage ( ) is a large town and borough in Hertfordshire, England, about north of London. Stevenage is east of junctions 7 and 8 of the A1(M), between Letchworth Garden City to the north and Welwyn Garden City to the south. In 1946, Stevenage was designated the United Kingdom's first New Town under the New Towns Act. Etymology "Stevenage" may derive from Old English ''stiþen āc'' / ''stiðen āc'' / ''stithen ac'' (various Old English dialects cited here) meaning "(place at) the stiff oak". Peter Winn (footballer)
Peter Harry Winn (born 19 December 1988) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Barton Town. He started his career at Scunthorpe United, making his first-team debut at the age of 16 whilst a second-year scholar. He was loaned out to Northwich Victoria and Barrow respectively towards the latter stages of the 2008–09 season. Winn joined Conference Premier club Gateshead the following season, initially on a two-month loan deal, before extending the agreement until the end of the season. On his return to Scunthorpe, Winn was released, and subsequently signed for League Two club Stevenage in 2010. Darius Charles
Wesley Darius Donald Charles (born 10 December 1987) is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He played in the English Football League for Brentford, Stevenage, Burton Albion, AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers. Charles started his career after progressing through the Brentford youth system and he made his first-team debut in 2005. He was loaned out by Brentford on seven occasions and he joined the last of these, Ebbsfleet United, permanently in 2009 in a historic transfer. Eddie Odhiambo
Eddie Odhiambo-Anaclet (born 31 August 1985) is a Tanzanian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He was most recently manager of side North Leigh. Odhiambo began his career as a schoolboy with Oxford United, before moving to Southampton in 2003. A year later, he signed on professional terms with the club, and was loaned out on separate occasions to Chester City and Tamworth during the 2004–05 season. He did not break into the first-team at Southampton, and signed for Oxford United on a free transfer in July 2006. After two seasons of regular first-team football at Oxford, he joined Stevenage Borough on a free transfer ahead of the 2008–09 campaign. Mark Albrighton
Mark Christopher Albrighton (born 6 March 1976) is a retired English footballer who played for a number of clubs in the English lower leagues. Career Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, Albrighton started his career at Atherstone United, then of the Southern League Premier Division, before joining Telford United in September 1999 for a fee of £10,000. He made his debut for the Shropshire side shortly after in a 3–1 victory over Yeovil Town, making a further 16 appearances during the 1999–00, scoring once in the process. Luton () is a town and unitary authority with borough status, in Bedfordshire, England. At the 2011 census, the Luton built-up area subdivision had a population of 211,228 and its built-up area, including the adjacent towns of Dunstable and Houghton Regis, had a population of 258,018. Andy Drury
Andrew Mark Drury (born 28 November 1983) is an English footballer and football manager, who currently plays for Isthmian League South East Division club Chatham Town. He started his career in non-League football for Sittingbourne in 2001, moving to Gravesend & Northfleet in 2003. He remained with the club for three seasons before signing for Conference South side Lewes in 2006. In 2008, Drury moved up a division to the Conference Premier, signing for Stevenage Borough.
