2010–11 Santa Clara Broncos Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball team represented Santa Clara University during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos, led by fourth-year head coach Kerry Keating, played their home games at the Leavey Center and are members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 24–14, 8–6 in WCC play and lost in the semifinals of the 2011 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament to Saint Mary's. They were invited to and were champions of the 2011 CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Kerry Keating
Kerry Keating (born July 15, 1971) is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at Santa Clara University. Early life and college education Keating was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts and grew up in Rockville Centre, on New York's Long Island. He attended Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens and Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, New Jersey. Keating enrolled at Seton Hall University in 1989 and played on the Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team as a walk-on as a freshman under coach P. J. Carlesimo. The following year, Keating became a student assistant and video coordinator on Carlesimo's staff. Keating graduated from Seton Hall in 1993. Raymond Cowels III (born November 18, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Legia Warszawa of the Polish Basketball League. He played college basketball for Santa Clara University before playing professionally in the Netherlands, New Zealand, Finland and France. High school career Cowels attended Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota where he led his team to 128 wins with only six losses while winning two state championships in 2006 and 2009, and earning All-State honors twice and all-conference three times. Kevin Foster (born June 17, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Beşiktaş of the Turkish Basketball League (TBL). The shooting guard played college basketball for Santa Clara University between 2008–09 and 2012–13. Foster made 431 three-point field goals in his career, which is tied for the fourth-most all-time in NCAA Division I history. He finished his collegiate career as Santa Clara's all-time leading scorer with 2,423 points, which is also the most in San Francisco Bay Area Division I history and second most in West Coast Conference history.
