Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli's 2010–11 season was its 68th in Serie A, and fourth consecutive year in the top flight. Napoli will also take part in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League as a result of finishing 6th in the 2009–10 Serie A table, its highest in Serie A since it also finished 6th in 1993–94. Season review Following the end of the World Cup, Napoli bought Edinson Cavani from fellow Southern club Palermo. He cost roughly €17 million for Napoli, and was the clubs' most expensive player ever bought. The club also loaned out playmaker Luca Cigarini to Sevilla, despite having the medical postponed due to illness. Nicolao Manuel Dumitru Cardoso (born 12 October 1991) is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin. Andrea Dossena (; born 11 September 1981) is an Italian football coach and former player who played as a left winger or left back. He is the head coach of Renate. Dossena started his professional career at Verona in 2001, having progressed through the club's youth ranks. Salvatore Aronica (born 20 January 1978) is an Italian football manager and former player who played as a defender, currently in charge as head coach of Eccellenza Sicily amateurs Don Carlo Misilmeri. Playing career Aronica spent his early career with Juventus, but he was sent to Crotone on loan. The deal became a co-ownership deal for the 2000–01 and 2001–02 seasons, for €91,000.
