The 2010–11 Israeli Basketball State Cup was the 51st edition of the Israeli Basketball State Cup, organized by the Israel Basketball Association. 26 teams took part in the competition. The semifinals and finals was played at the Yad Eliyahu Arena in Tel Aviv. Main draw Following IBA's rules, the current champions, Hapoel Gilboa Galil, and the cup holders, Maccabi Tel Aviv, have been drawn straight into the quarterfinals, into different halves of the draw. Two other random teams, Bnei HaSharon and Barak Netanya, have been drawn straight into the second round. Israeli Basketball State Cup
The Israeli Basketball State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה בכדורסל) is the second most important professional basketball competition in Israel, after the Israeli Basketball Super League, Israeli Super League. It is the national federation cup of Israel. The tournament began in the 1955–56 season, and is run by the Israel Basketball Association. In the 21–22 season, the tournament format was changed so that only the first 8 teams at the end of the first rotation of the Israeli Basketball Premier League will compete. The quarter-final matches will be drawn between the teams in places 1-4 against 5-8 for a one-game elimination match. Maccabi Be'er Ya'akov ( he, מכבי באר יעקב) was an Israeli football club based in Be'er Ya'akov. History The club was founded in 2005 after the previous club of the town, Hapoel Be'er Ya'akov, which has played in the past in Liga Alef, was dissolved. In their first season of existence, Maccabi was promoted to Liga Bet, after they finished runners-up in Liga Gimel Central-South division. Their second season of existence, which was their first in Liga Bet, was successful, as they finished the 2006–07 season in third place in Liga Bet South B division. Maccabi Ashdod B.C. ( he, מכבי אשדוד) is a professional basketball team based in the port city of Ashdod, Israel. The team currently plays in the Israeli National League. History The team was founded in 1961 by "Maccabi Ashdod Sports Association", with the help of former Maccabi Cairo players who migrated to Israel and played for the club in the first years in the Outdoor court.
