2010 Major League Soccer Season
The 2010 Major League Soccer season was the 98th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer, the 32nd with a national first-division league, in the United States and Canada, and the 15th in Major League Soccer, MLS history. It began on March 25 at Seattle's Qwest Field with Seattle Sounders FC defeating the expansion Philadelphia Union, 2–0. The 2010 MLS All-Star Game was played at Reliant Stadium, hosted by the Houston Dynamo on July 28 as the MLS XI fell 5–2 to visiting Manchester United F.C., Manchester United. The regular season concluded on October 24, with Los Angeles Galaxy winning the MLS Supporters' Shield, Supporters' Shield by one point over Real Salt Lake. Upon the completion of the regular season the MLS Cup 2010, 2010 MLS Cup Playoffs culminated on November 21 with a 2–1 victory by the Colorado Rapids over FC Dallas at Toronto's BMO Field. Clarence Goodson
Clarence Edgar Goodson IV (born May 17, 1982) is an American former soccer player who played as a defender. Youth career Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Goodson attended Annandale High School his freshman and sophomore seasons before moving to Wilbert Tucker Woodson High School. He was the Annandale team MVP, setting a school record for goals and points by a sophomore in 1998. He then went on to win the Virginia State High School Soccer title playing for W.T. Woodson High School in 2000. He played his club soccer with the Braddock Road Warhawks, winning the 1999 U-17 national championship. Goodson played three years of soccer at the University of Maryland, which he joined in 2000. After redshirting in 2001, Goodson helped anchor the defense of one of the best teams in college soccer. Rudis Corrales
Rudis Alberto Corrales Rivera (born November 6, 1979) is a retired Salvadoran footballer. Club career Corrales' professional career began in 1997, when he signed a contract with Municipal Limeño. He officially made his debut that same year on November 29, in a league match against Dragón. On September 9, 2007 in a league match against Alianza F.C. Corrales became only the seventh person is Salvadoran league history to score 100 goals, a feat which has only been matched by Salvadoran greats Raúl Díaz Arce, Williams Reyes, Emiliano Pedrozo, Adonai Martínez, Hugo Coria and David Arnoldo Cabrera. On December 19, 2010, it was announced that he signed a two year contract with Alianza. In January 2012, Corrales joined Dragón. In April 2012 he suffered a stroke which partially paralyzed his face. Heath Pearce
Heath Pearce (born August 13, 1984) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a defender for teams in Europe and North America. He represented his national team on 35 occasions. Pearce is currently the host of "The Mixer", "KPR" (Kick Power Rankings) and "WTF" (Walk Talk Football), all programs on the YouTube channel COPA90 US (formerly known as KICKTV). Career College and amateur Pearce played his high school soccer at Peter Johansen High School in Modesto, California before playing his college soccer at the University of Portland, where he was an All-West Coast Conference honorable mention selection.
