2010 Women's World Team Squash Championships
The 2010 Women's World Team Squash Championships is the women's edition of the 2010 World Team Squash Championships organized by the World Squash Federation, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The tournament was organized by the World Squash Federation and Squash New Zealand. The events were held in Palmerston North, New Zealand and took place from November 28 to December 4, 2010. The Australia team won his ninth World Team Championships beating the English team in the final. Participating teams A total of 16 teams competed from all the five confederations: Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. For Mexico, it was their first participation at a world team championship. Tania Bailey
Tania Bailey (born 2 October 1979, in Stamford,) is a professional squash player from England. Career As a junior player, Bailey won the World Junior Championship in 1997 and captained the England team to World and European junior team titles. A car accident led to career-threatening knee surgery at the age of 21, but she successfully recovered and resumed her playing career. Her greatest achievement was being part of the England team that won the 2000 Women's World Team Squash Championships held in Sheffield. In 2003, Bailey finished runner-up to Sarah Fitz-Gerald at the British Open. She reached a career-high ranking of World No. 4 that year. In February 2006, Bailey clinched her first British National Championships in Manchester, defeating the No.1 seed and previous champion Linda Elriani 3–1 in a hotly contested 76 minute final. Laura Massaro
Laura Jane Massaro (née Lengthorn; born 2 November 1983) is a retired professional squash player from England. Career She was born in Great Yarmouth and attended Albany High School, Chorley, which is now called Albany Academy. In July 2007, she married Danny Massaro and became Laura Lengthorn-Massaro. She subsequently dropped 'Lengthorn' from her name and is now known professionally as Laura Massaro. She won her first top-level title at the German Open in 2004 and went on to become British Open champion in 2013 and World Champion in 2014, so become the first Englishwoman to hold both titles at once. Jennifer Duncalf (born 10 November 1982) is a former professional squash player from England. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 2 in December 2009. Career Duncalf was born in Haarlem, Netherlands but was a pupil at Harrogate Grammar School where she attended from 1994-2001. As a junior player, she won the European Junior Championship title. Duncalf won the European Individual Championship title in 2006 and 2007, and the British National Championship title in 2007 and 2009. She was also a member of the England team which won the World Team Squash Championships in 2006. In 2008, she finished runner-up at the British Open (losing in the final to Nicol David).
