2010 Thomas & Uber Cup
The 2010 Thomas & Uber Cup was the 26th tournament of the Thomas Cup and 23rd tournament of the Uber Cup, the most important and most prestigious badminton tournaments in men's and women's team competition, respectively. The 2010 championships marked the Thomas & Uber Cup's 10 year return to Malaysia which has always seen great fan interest in the sport. The final rounds were held from May 9 to May 16 at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which was also the same venue of the 2000 Thomas & Uber Cup, when Indonesia get their 12th title in the Thomas Cup after defeat China by 3–0 in the final. But, Indonesia defeated by China, also by 0–3 in the final, to ensure the China's eighth title in the Thomas Cup, while Korea won the Uber Cup after defeat China with 3–1 score. Adriyanti Firdasari
Adrianti Firdasari (born 16 December 1986) is a retired Indonesian badminton player from Jaya Raya Jakarta club. Career In 2005, Firdasari won the women's singles at the New Zealand Open. Firdasari played the 2007 BWF World Championships in women's singles, and was defeated in the second round by Xu Huaiwen of Germany, 21–17, 22–20. She played on Sudirman Cup for Indonesia, who finished second to China in 2005 and 2007. In the 2008 Singapore Super Series, she made a surprise by beating the 1st-seeded Pi Hongyan of France, 21–16, 20–22, 21–16 in the second round. Sonia Cheah Su Ya
Soniia Cheah Su Ya (Chinese:谢抒芽, born 19 June 1993) is a former Malaysian badminton player. She is the younger sister of Lyddia Cheah who is also a professional badminton player. Career In her junior career, she represented Malaysia at the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Asian Junior Championships, World Junior Championships, 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, and 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games. She won her first international title at the 2016 Belgian International tournament. Lindaweni Fanetri
Lindaweni Fanetri (born 18 January 1989) is a former Indonesian badminton player. She played in women's singles. Fanetri is from PB. Suryanaga, a badminton club from Surabaya, the same club with the likes of Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Alvent Yulianto, and Ryan Agung Saputra. Career In 2012 Fanetri managed to become champion in India Grand Prix Gold and runner up at Chinese Taipei and Vietnam Open. In 2015 Fanetri won a bronze medal at 2015 BWF World Championships after losing to Saina Nehwal in the semifinals. In her quarterfinal match, she was down 14–20 in the second game after losing the first game against Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei. Janice Woon Khe Wei (born 18 March 1989) is a Malaysian former badminton player in the doubles event. Career Her regular partner was Vivian Hoo. Together, they had ranked as high as No. 9 worldwide. Lilyana Natsir
Liliyana Natsir (born 9 September 1985) is an Indonesian former badminton player who specialized in doubles. She is one of the standout front court player, with dexterousness and skill in controlling and executing the shuttlecock. Natsir has tremendous record over more than two decade by winning a gold and a silver from the Olympic Games, and four gold medals at the BWF World Championships. Her achievements are recognized worldwide, and was inducted in the BWF Hall of Fame in 2022. Natsir was ranked world number 1 in the mixed doubles with two different partner. She is a bronze medalist in Badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's singles, women's singles at the 2008 Olympics. Wong Pei Tty (, born 11 November 1981) is a former doubles badminton player from Malaysia. Currently, she works as an assistant coach for Malaysia women's double national team. Career Wong competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Chin Eei Hui. They defeated Seiko Yamada and Shizuka Yamamoto of Japan in the first round but were defeated by Gao Ling and Huang Sui of China in the round of 16. Together, Wong and Chin achieved much success by winning Superseries and Superseries Finals titles. They also clinched gold and bronze medals in 2010 and 2002 Commonwealth Games. Chin Eei Hui
Chin Eei Hui (; Hakka Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: Chhìn Ngì-fui; born 18 June 1982) is a former badminton player from Malaysia who plays in both women's and mixed doubles. She worked as a coach for Malaysia's national women's doubles players of which the contract ended in 2020. Starting from 2021 until now, she partners with Li-Ning and work with independent players such as Tan Kian Meng, Lai Pei Jing, Teo Ee Yi and Ong Yew Sin.
