2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
The 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain was the eighth season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain series. The series again featured on the same package as the British Touring Car Championship, and as such benefited from live coverage at each round on ITV4 in the United Kingdom. Reigning champion Tim Bridgman will not be back to defend his title in 2010 as he will be taking part in the Porsche Supercup. 2008 Champion Tim Harvey has announced his intention to return to the series for another year after losing out on the championship in 2009. 2010 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. Neal's teammate Gordon Shedden also had a shot at the title heading into the final round but a broken driveshaft immediately prior to the start of Race 2 at Brands Hatch left him too far adrift and he finished the title 42 points behind Plato. Glynn Geddie
Glynn Geddie (born 17 June 1990) is a British racing driver from Aberdeen, who last competed in the 2021 British Touring Car Championship for Team HARD. After spending his early racing career in GT cars and winning the 2011 British GT Championship, Geddie made his touring car debut in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season. Career British GT Championship Geddie made his debut in the British GT Championship in 2010 with Trackspeed, joining David Ashburn for the third round of the season at Knockhill. Geddie returned to the team full-time starting at the Rockingham round, the pair took four victories to secure the championship for Ashburn and second place for Geddie. Liam Griffin (racing Driver)
Liam Griffin (born 9 March 1973 in Barnet, Greater London) is a British auto racing driver and businessman. He is the son of John Griffin and was CEO of minicab company Addison Lee for 10 years before carrying out a management buyout with the private equity firm Carlyle. He is currently the Vice Chairman of Addison Lee. He has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice and currently races in the European Le Mans Series. Ollie Jackson
Oliver Jackson (born 26 April 1984 in Whitechapel, London) is a British racing driver who currently competes in the British Touring Car Championship. Personal life Ollie Jackson is from Reigate, Surrey and was educated at Epsom College. He then obtained a BSc in Computer Information Systems from the University of Bath and an MSc in Automotive Product Engineering from Cranfield University. Anthony "Tony" Gilham (born 19 May 1979) is a British auto racing driver. He is the founder and owner of Team HARD. Racing, who currently compete in various championships including the British Touring Car Championship. Racing career Early years Born in Bromley, Kent, Gilham's first full season of racing – after previously competing as a flower arranger – came in 2005, competing in the MR2 Championship. Alexander Martin (born 21 April 1987) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship from 2015 - 2016. Racing career Martin began his career in the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, he raced in the championship from 2009–2011 ending 7th in the Pro–Am 1 standings in 2011. He switched to the Ferrari Challenge Europe for the 2012 season, he finished 4th in the standings in 2014, with 122 points. Jonas Gelžinis (born 2 March 1988) is a Lithuanian racing driver. J.Gelžinis won Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro-Am1 class champion title in 2011. From 2012 he raced in Pro class and finished runner up in 2013. He is also a record ten-time winner of the Palanga 1000km Challenge. He was selected for FIA 2012 Young Driver Excellence Academy. Juta Racing is an auto racing team based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Founded in 1988, the team currently racing in Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain. Ahmad Al Harthy (born 31 August 1981 in Muscat, Oman) is an Omani racing driver. He won the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro-Am 1 Championship and in 2017 became the Blancpain Endurance Cup Pro-Am Champion along with British team-mate Jonny Adam. Motorbase Performance is a British motor racing team, founded in 2004 by former Production Saloon racer David Bartrum. They are best known for competing in the British Touring Car Championship. Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain The team started out by contesting the 2004 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, finishing second in the teams championship despite their best-known driver Damien Faulkner only joining mid-season.
