Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Kevin Kim (born July 26, 1978) is an American retired tennis player. Career He entered the top 100 in 2004, reaching a career-high singles ranking of World No. 63 in March 2005. In 1993, Kim won the USTA National Boys' 16 Indoor Doubles Championship with Michael Russell. Kim lost to Russell in the finals of the 1994 USTA National Boys' 16 Singles Championships. He beat Russell in the finals of the 1994 USTA National Boys' 16 Clay Court Championships, and lost to Russell in the finals of the 1994 Easter Bowl Boys' 16s Championships. Jesse Levine (born October 15, 1987) is an American-Canadian former professional tennis player. He achieved his career-high singles rank of world No. 69 on October 1, 2012. Levine represented the United States through 2012, and he represented Canada starting in 2013. Andrew Anderson (born 8 April 1983) is a South African tennis player who regularly played on the ITF Futures Tour and occasionally ATP Challenger Tour. Dimitar Kutrovsky ( bg, Димитър Кутровски; born 27 August 1987) is a retired tennis player from Bulgaria. On 18 May 2015, he reached his highest ATP singles ranking of 293 whilst his best doubles ranking was 234 on 10 August 2015. As a junior, he played for CSKA. Pierre-Ludovic Duclos-Lasnier, commonly referred to as Pierre-Ludovic Duclos, (born January 8, 1986) is a Canadian former professional tour tennis player. Daniel Mark L. Cox (born 28 September 1990 in Lincoln, England), is a British tennis player. While playing tennis for Lincolnshire, he first came into international prominence when he reached the finals of Le Petit As, Tarbes. A right-hander who favours slow hardcourts, but seems to be comfortable on all surfaces, Cox recently chose Marco Tennis Academy, in Marbella, as a training base, favouring the warm weather training in Spain over that in the United Kingdom. Michael McClune (born August 22, 1989) is an American professional tennis player. He turned professional in 2007, was represented by IMG and signed a lucrative contract with Nike. Junior career Michael was a finalist at the 2007 Luxilon Cup held at the 2007 Sony Ericsson Open where he lost to Kei Nishikori.
