2010 Ginetta Junior Championship Season
The 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship season was the eighth season of the Ginetta Junior Championship. The season began at Thruxton on 3 April 2010 and concluded after 20 races over 10 events at Brands Hatch on 10 October 2010. The championship introduced the G40 model to replace the G20 for the 2010 season. Hillspeed's Tom Ingram became champion after a strong run towards the end of the season which included weekend sweeps at Silverstone and Knockhill, as well as a season-opening victory at Thruxton. Ingram's success, which included eight other podium finishes to go with his five wins, came despite having one of the smallest budgets of all the grid. Ingram's championship-winning margin was 65 points over Tollbar driver Jake Hill, who won ten races but championship aspirations were thwarted by a disqualification at the Brands Hatch GP meeting, and accidents at Silverstone and Brands Hatch Indy. 2010 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. Neal's teammate Gordon Shedden also had a shot at the title heading into the final round but a broken driveshaft immediately prior to the start of Race 2 at Brands Hatch left him too far adrift and he finished the title 42 points behind Plato. Jody Fannin
Jody Fannin (born 4 September 1993) is a British auto racing driver. He competed in the European Le Mans Series in 2017, winning the GTE Championship with Rob Smith driving for JMW Motorsport in a Ferrari 488 GTE. He was the 2012 British GT GT4-class champion, along with Warren Hughes, driving for Team WFR in a Ginetta G50. Max Coates
Max Peter Coates (born 4 January 1994) is a British racing driver currently competing in the 2022 Mini Challenge UK. He is a former Clio Cup UK competitor but has since moved factors as the Clio Cup withdrew from being a British Touring Car Championship support race. He spent three years in the Mini Challenge Series, supporting the BTCC, and currently races in the Porsche Sprint Challenge. Sebastian "Seb" Morris (born 30 November 1995) is a professional racing driver from Marford, who lives in Chester, Cheshire. He won the 2017 British GT Championship. He also won the 2017 Sunoco Challenge which gave him the prize drive in the Number 31 Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi at the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. Finesse Motorsport is a British motor racing team based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire founded by Neil Giddings. Christopher James Swanwick (born 22 October 1993 in Nottingham, England) is a British racing driver. He is best known for having competed in the British Touring Car Championship, he made his début on 2 October 2011 at Brands Hatch. Career History Karting Swanwick was a relative late starter to karting, starting in 2003 at the age of 9 in Formula cadets where he did his novice plates. He quickly progressed and by the end of the next year won the Comer cadets, North Regional Final. Sarah Moore (racing Driver)
Sarah Moore (born 22 October 1993) is a British racing driver. She won the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2009 and competed in the InterSteps Championship in 2011. She was awarded the Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers' Club in 2009. Moore was the first female racing driver to win a TOCA-sanctioned race, and the first to win a junior mixed-gender, national-level series in the UK. She is the first female to have won the Britcar Endurance Championship. Ginetta Cars Limited is a British specialist builder of racing and sports cars based in Garforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire. History 20th century Ginetta was founded in 1958 by four Walklett brothers (Bob, Ivor, Trevers and Douglas) in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Their first product, the Fairlight, was a glass-fibre body shell priced at £49 for fitting to a Ford chassis.
