2010 Formula Renault UK Season
The 2010 Formula Renault 2.0 UK Championship was the 22nd British Formula Renault Championship. The season began at Thruxton on 3 April and ended on 10 October at Brands Hatch, after twenty rounds held in England, and for the first time since 2006, Scotland. Making its debut in the series in 2010 was the new-specification car, designed by Barazi-Epsilon, replacing the Tatuus chassis that had been in the series since 2000. At the age of , Anglo-Swedish driver Tom Blomqvist of the Fortec Motorsport team became the youngest drivers' champion in series history after coming out on top of a season-long battle with his rivals. Despite winning just three races – coming in succession at Silverstone National and Knockhill – Blomqvist won the championship due to his superior finishing record, finishing 19 of the season's 20 races within the top seven placings; giving Fortec their third title in the last four seasons. British Formula Renault Championship
British Formula Renault Championship referred to one of two Formula Renault championships that were held in the United Kingdom. The main series was Renault Sport, Renault Sport UK's Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship which was held from 1989 to 2011 and was generally recognized as the British Formula Renault championship. However, in March 2012 it was announced that the Formula Renault UK series would not take place in 2012, with the series being ended definitively in September 2012. A secondary championship organised by the British Automobile Racing Club and known as the Protyre Formula Renault Championship was held continuously between 1995 and 2014. Tamás Pál Kiss
Tamás Pál Kiss (born 19 May 1991 in Miskolc) is a Hungarian auto racing driver. Career Karting Kiss made his karting début in 1998 when he was seven years old. During ten years he scored three titles in Hungarian Championships Formula Renault After competing in regional Hungarian Championship E-2000 in 2007 and 2008, Kiss moved into the LO Formule Renault 2.0 Suisse in 2008 and finished fourteenth with points-scoring finishes in six in the eight races with Speed Box ASE. In 2009, Kiss switched to the Hitech Junior Team, to contest a full season of Formula Renault UK. He had seventeen point-scoring finishes on his way to thirteenth place in the championship and third in the Graduate Cup. Kiss remained in the series with the newly renamed Atech Grand Prix team. Yann Cunha
Yann Cunha (born 22 January 1991) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Karting Yann Cunha began his career kart racing. In November 2010 Yann, teamed up with pilots Luiz Cordeiro and Lu Boesel, won the famous 500 miles kart race in Granja Viana, São Paulo, where celebrities such as Nelson Piquet Jr. and Rubens Barrichello participated as well. Victor Corrêa
Victor Corrêa (born March 14, 1990 in Alfenas) is a Brazilian racing driver currently competing in the European F3 Open Championship. Career The young Victor Corrêa began his career in karting in 1999 in Alfenas at 9 years old competing in the regional championships. He soon won the South-Mineiro Champion in the Cadet category. Later he became the Mineiro Champion in Junior Minor category and Mineiro championship in Junior category, along with excellent results in the competitive Paulista Championship and also in the Brazilian Championship. In 2006 he debuted in Formula São Paulo. In the following year he won the category title with a round to spare. In 2008 he came in fourth place in the British Formula Ford Championship. Thomas Hylkema
Thomas Hylkema (born 20 August 1988) is a Dutch racing driver, who drove for Tech 1 Racing in the GP3 Series in 2011. He is the brother of Bart Hylkema, a British Formula 3 racer. Career Like most racing drivers, Hylkema started his career in karting, where he was active until 2005. In 2006 he moved to Touring Car racing, where he was 14th in the BRL Light. Marlon Stöckinger
Marlon Alexander Stöckinger (born April 4, 1991) is a Filipino former racing driver, who raced for Status Grand Prix in the 2012 GP3 Series. He is the first Filipino to win a formula race in Europe. Nicholas Jon Yelloly (born 3 December 1990 in Stafford, England) is a British professional racing driver, and BMW Motorsport works driver. He is also currently a test and simulator driver for the Aston Martin F1 team. Early career Karting Yelloly made his karting début in September 2005. After competing in Junior TKM Intermediate in 2006, Yelloly moved up to ICA in 2007, finishing 15th. Yelloly moved into the Super 1 National KF1 Championship in 2008, and finished in eighth position in the championship. Riki Christodoulou
Riki James Christodoulou (born 15 July 1988) is a British racing driver, born in Sutton Coldfield. His cousin Adam Christodoulou is also a British Racing Driver. Career Karting Christodoulou began racing in 1996, and has raced karts in the United Kingdom, UK, Italy, France, Belgium, including winning at Spa, and in Japan. However, it wasn't until 1999 when he started to make waves on the British karting circuit. He won the Shennington Kart Club's Formula Cadet class, edging out cousin Adam by only two points – 217 to 215. Both Christodoulous struggled the following season, with Adam coming 7th and Riki 14th. Riki got the edge on Adam in the National Cadet Championship, with Riki finishing 5th, 60 points behind champion Alexander Sims (racing driver), Alexander Sims.
