2010 FIA GT3 European Championship Season
The 2010 FIA GT3 European Championship season was the fifth season of the FIA GT3 European Championship. The season commenced on 1 May at Silverstone and ended on 10 October at Circuit Zolder. The season featured six double-header rounds, with each race lasting for a duration of 60 minutes. Most of the events were support races to the newly formed FIA GT1 World Championship. Despite FIA's efforts to slow down the Callaway Competition-entered Chevrolet Corvette of Christian Hohenadel and Daniel Keilwitz via extensive performance balancing, the pairing finished the season as champions, taking four victories to secure the title with a meeting to spare; the second such championship crown for a team running a Corvette after the 2008 triumph of French duo Arnaud Peyroles and James Ruffier. FIA GT3 European Championship
The FIA GT3 European Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It was a championship derived from the international FIA GT1 World Championship, but meant to provide competition for more amateur racers in closer to production cars. The series used extensive performance balancing and handicap weights to make cars more equal. Gregory "Greg" Franchi (born 6 April 1982, in Flémalle) is a Belgian racing driver. Career Karting Franchi began his karting career in 2000, with the 36th place in European Championship Formula A. Grégory Guilvert (born 8 May 1982) is a French racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Blancpain Endurance Series, Eurocup Mégane Trophy & FIA GT3 European Championship amongst others. Racing career Guilvert began his career in 2002 in karting. In 2003 he switched to the French Peugeot 206 Cup, he raced there up until 2004 and won the Junior Class title that year. He switched to the French Supertouring Championship for 2005, taking a single victory on his way to finish 3rd in the standings. He returned to the French Peugeot 206 Cup for 2006, finishing 2nd in the championship standings that year. Phoenix Racing is a motor racing team based at the Nürburgring in Germany. The team competes in series such as the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and FIA GT1 World Championship and was the winner of the 2022 24 Hours of Nürburgring with the car #15. History Phoenix Racing competed in the German Supertouring Championship in 1999 with Michael Bartels and Arnd Meier driving Audi A4s. Michael Ammermüller
Michael Ammermüller (born 14 February 1986) is a racing driver from Germany. After competing in various junior formulae, he became a test and reserve driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula One team in the 2007 season. Following this, he represented Germany in the final two seasons of the A1 Grand Prix series in 2007-08 and 2008-09, before competing for two seasons in ADAC GT Masters. Grégoire Demoustier (born 26 January 1991 in Villeneuve-d'Ascq) is a French racing driver, who competes in the World Touring Car Championship for Sébastien Loeb Racing. Career Demoustier began his career in 2008, competing in the THP Spider Cup and the Mitjet Series. In 2009 he debuted in single-seaters, racing in Formula BMW Europe. Johannes Seidlitz (born 13 June 1990) is a German racing driver from Wassertrüdingen. He currently competes in the ADAC GT Masters championship. Racing career Single-seaters After competing in karting between 2001 and 2006, Johannes moved onto Formula BMW, competing in Formula BMW ADAC in 2007. The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG in 2006.
