2010 European F3 Open Season
The 2010 European F3 Open Championship was the second European F3 Open Championship season. The season began on 17 April at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, and finished on 31 October at Circuit de Catalunya in Montmeló after 16 races run at eight meetings, four held in Spain, as well as meetings held in Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and Italy. Marco Barba, the 2007 series runner-up, finished the season as champion for the Lebanese team Cedars Motorsport, having clinched the title with a meeting to spare at Jerez. Barba, who stepped down from the Formula Renault 3.5 Series to contest the series, won six races and collected eleven podiums as he finished more than 40 points clear of the field. Second place was claimed by Team West-Tec's Callum MacLeod via countback, having finished tied on points with RP Motorsport's David Fumanelli. European F3 Open Championship
The Euroformula Open Championship (formerly the Spanish Formula Three Championship, European F3 Open Championship) is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe and Scandinavia that together used to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One. The championship's first season was held in 2001. In 2006, it was branded as the Spanish F3 Championship by Toyota, in deference to its sole engine supplier. In 2020, the championship ceased to be a F3-championship and will share its specifications with Japan's Super Formula Lights based on the previous-generation Formula Three standards, primarily with a choice of engines. The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Carlos Andrés Muñoz (born 2 January 1992) is a professional racing driver from Colombia. He last drove for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports part-time in the IndyCar Series in 2018. Emmanuel Piget (born February 25, 1984 in Cognac) is a French racing driver. In 2013 he starts in the Formula Renault 3.5. Career Piget began his racing career in karting in 1997. Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro (; born 1 September 1994), otherwise known as Carlos Sainz Jr. or simply Carlos Sainz, is a Spanish racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Scuderia Ferrari. Fernando Monje Vicario (born 7 March 1993) is a former Spanish racing driver who competed in the World Touring Car Championship. Career Early career Monje was born in Barcelona. Single Seater Career Formula Renault 2.0 Fumanelli, after just two years of national karting races, made his single-seater debut in 2008 in his native Italian Formula Renault 2.0 series, driving for RP Motorsport.
