The 2010 Chinese Super League season was the seventh season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League, the seventeenth season of a Professional sports, professional association football league and the 49th top-tier league season in People's Republic of China, China. The teams ranked first through fourteenth of the 2009 Chinese Super League, 2009 season and two promoted teams from the 2009 China League One, 2009 League One season participated in this season. Chinese Super League
The Chinese Football Association Super League, commonly known as Chinese Super League or CSL, currently known as the China Ping An Chinese Football Association Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier of professional association football, football in China, operating under the auspices of the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The league was established in 2004 by the rebranding of the former top division, Chinese Jia-A League. Initially contested by 12 teams in its inaugural year, the league has since expanded, with 18 teams competing in the 2022 Chinese Super League, 2022 season. Workers Stadium
The Workers' Stadium (), often called Gongti, Gong Ti or Kung T'i, is a multi-purpose stadium in the Chaoyang District of north-eastern Beijing, China. It was mostly used for association football matches. The stadium was built in 1959 and was last renovated in 2004 (the concrete structure was strengthened, a new rotating display screen and energy-saving devices were installed). Chinese Super League 2009
The 2009 Chinese Super League season was the sixth season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League, the sixteenth season of a professional football league and the 48th top-tier league season in China. Beijing Guoan won their first ever Chinese Super League title. The events during the 2008 season saw Liaoning relegated and Wuhan withdrawn. They were replaced by the promoted teams Jiangsu Sainty and Chongqing Lifan. Zhejiang Greentown which is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang were renamed to Hangzhou Greentown. Each team is allowed to register a maximum of five foreign players and field four of them in starting line-up this season, one of whom must be from an AFC country. Beijing Guoan Football Club () is a professional football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in the Chaoyang District in Beijing and their home stadium is the Workers' Stadium with a seating capacity of 66,161. In early 2021, the shareholders changed from the real estate company Sinobo Group (64%) and CITIC Limited (36%) of CITIC Group to solely Sinobo Group (100%). Simplified Chinese characters are standardized Chinese characters used in mainland China, Malaysia and Singapore, as prescribed by the ''Table of General Standard Chinese Characters''. Guangzhou Football Club, formerly known as Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club, is a professional Chinese football club that participates in the Chinese Super League under the license of the Chinese Football Association. The team is based in Guangzhou, Guangdong, and their home stadium is the Tianhe Stadium which has a seating capacity of 54,856. Chengdu Blades
Chengdu Tiancheng F.C. () was a Chinese professional football club based in Chengdu, China who last played in the 26,000 seater Shuangliu Sports Center in the China League One division. The club was founded on 26 February 1996 and was formerly known as Chengdu Five Bulls named after their first sponsor, the Five Bulls Cigarette Company. However, the club was officially dissolved on 4 January 2015 and was subsequently de-registered by the Chinese Football Association on 31 January 2015 due to unpaid salaries to players and staff. The 2010 China League One is the seventh season since the establishment. Teams After 2009 season, Liaoning Whowin and Nanchang Bayi Hengyuan were promoted to Chinese Super League 2010 and Sichuan F.C. were relegated to China League Two 2010. They were replaced by Hunan Billows and Hubei Luyin which promoted from League Two 2009, Chengdu Blades and Guangzhou F.C. who relegated from Super League 2009. Shanghai Shenxin Football Club () was a professional football club that participated in China's football league system between 2003 and 2019 under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team was based in Jinshan District, Shanghai and their home stadium was the Jinshan Football Stadium that has a seating capacity of 30,000. Their majority shareholder was Chinese real estate company Hengyuan Corporation. The club was founded in 2003 as Shanghai Hengyuan Football Club before they made their debut in the third tier of China's football league pyramid in the 2003 league season. When the People's Liberation Army dismissed part of its sports branch, which included its football team the club became interested in acquiring it before ultimately buying their youth team.
