2010 Central American And Caribbean Games
The 21st Central American and Caribbean Games (Spanish: ''XXI Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Mayagüez 2010'') took place in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from 18 July 2010 to 1 August 2010. Bid It was understood that Mayagüez was going to be the only city to ask to hold the games, so that there was going to be no need for a vote in the assembly held in Havana, Cuba in 2004. But the organizers found that Guatemala would present a bid of their own. The vote was held on 15 May 2005 with Mayagüez winning. Trademark and athletes "Mayagüez 2010" marks the third (3) time Puerto Rico hosts the Central American and Caribbean Games, the other being San Juan in 1966, and Ponce in 1993. The city of Mayagüez had been selected previously to hold the games in 1982, but economic problems forced the city to quit the organization, and the games were held in La Habana, Cuba. 1982 Central American And Caribbean Games
The 14th Central American and Caribbean Games were held in Havana, Cuba from August 7 to August 18, 1982, and included 2,420 athletes from nineteen nations competing in 25 different sports. Some events were held in Santiago de Cuba, Cienfuegos, and the eastern end of the island. Opening The torch was carried by María Caridad Colón. Puerto Rico Olympic Committee
The Puerto Rico Olympic Committee (COPUR, es, Comité Olímpico de Puerto Rico) is the National Olympic Committee for Puerto Rico. It oversees Olympic-sports in Puerto Rico, and selects the Olympic team which represents the island. It was founded by Julio Enrique Monagas, and was officially recognized in 1948. COPUR operates the ''Casa Olímpica'', its headquarters in Old San Juan. Teams representing Puerto Rico have participated in every Summer Olympics since 1948. Teotihuacán Pyramids

Felipe Muñoz
Felipe Muñoz Kapamas (born February 3, 1951) is a Mexican former breaststroke swimmer. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in the 200 m event in 1968. Since 2008, he is the President of the Mexican Olympic Committee. He served as Deputy of the LV and LXII Legislature of the Mexican Congress. Muñoz is of Greek descent on his mother's side. His nickname is "el tibio", which means "lukewarm" in Spanish, a nickname which has multiple possible explanations. According to some sources, it was coined because he had the habit of refusing to swim in an unheated pool. However, other sources, including the International Swimming Hall of Fame, have stated that it was because his mother was from the town of Río Frío (meaning Cold River) and his father was from the town of Aguascalientes (meaning Hot Springs). José Guillermo Rodríguez Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican politician who served as the Mayor of the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico for 27 years until March 31, 2022 when he was suspended by the Special Independent Prosecutor Panel. San Juan Natatorium
The San Juan Natatorium is an Olympic-level aquatic sports facility located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Located in San Juan's Parque Central (Central Park) the natatorium is regarded as the most advanced natatorium in the Caribbean and 4th in the entire world as of October 2007. The facility is used to host local and international events such as the 2nd A.S.U.A Pan American Masters Swimming Championship, as well as an important United States collegiate winter practice venue for many NCAA-affiliated colleges and universities. Jorge Santini Padilla (born March 11, 1960) is a Puerto Rican politician who previously served as the mayor of San Juan. State Service In 1975, Santini became a member of the United States Marines Air Cadets Corps. At present, he is Lieutenant Colonel in the Puerto Rico State Guard, assigned to the Judge Advocate General's Corps. On September 18, 2002, President George W.
