2009–10 Washington Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach Lorenzo Romar's 8th season at Washington. The Huskies played their home games at Bank of America Arena and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 26–10, 11–7 in Pac-10 play and defeated California in the finals of the Pac-10 Tournament to claim the conference tournament championship and an automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. They earned an 11 seed in the East Region where they upset 6 seed Marquette in the first round and 3 seed and AP #8 New Mexico in the second round to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they were defeated by 2 seed and AP #6 West Virginia to end their season. Lorenzo Romar
Lorenzo Romar (born November 13, 1958) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the head men's basketball coach at Pepperdine University, a position he held from 1996 to 1999 and resumed in 2018. Romar also served as the head men's basketball coach at Saint Louis University from 1999 to 2002 and the University of Washington from 2002 to 2017. Playing career Romar played college basketball at Cerritos College from 1976–78 and then for Washington from 1978 to 1980. After college, he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors and spent five years playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Isaiah Thomas (basketball)
Isaiah Jamar Thomas (born February 7, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He most notably played with the Boston Celtics from 2015 through 2017, when he was a two-time NBA All-Star and named second-team All-NBA. The point guard played three years of college basketball for the Washington Huskies and was a three-time all-conference selection in the Pac-10. After electing to forgo his senior year of college, Thomas was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the final pick in the 2011 NBA draft. He spent three seasons with the Kings before joining the Phoenix Suns in 2014. Thomas was traded to Boston in February 2015. Quincy Pondexter
Quincy Coe Pondexter (born March 10, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He is currently an assistant coach for the University of Washington men's basketball team. He played high school basketball in Fresno, California, at San Joaquin Memorial High School. Pondexter played four years of college basketball at the University of Washington. At the end of his senior season, he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press. Washington High School (Missouri)
Washington High School (WHS) is public high school in Washington, Missouri that is part of the School District of Washington. History Washington High School was built in 1900, with its class of 1900–1901 having only five graduates, and 47 students total. Following the case Brown v. Board of Education, Washington Schools desegregated in 1954 with Clifford Aitch being the first African-American graduate in 1959. Aitch would later teach physical education in the Washington School District as its first African-American teacher. Scott Suggs (born November 10, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Iraklis of the Greek Basket League. He played college basketball for the University of Washington before playing professionally in the NBA G League, France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Israel. The Patterson School
The Patterson School was a private, non-profit, co-educational, non-denominational, multi-cultural boarding and day school for grades seven through twelve, and one year of post-secondary study, located in Lenoir, North Carolina. The school opened in 1909 under the auspices of Samuel L. Patterson, the school's namesake and the first elected agricultural commissioner for the state of North Carolina. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Bellarmine Preparatory School is a private, Roman Catholic, coeducational high school run by the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus in Tacoma, Washington, United States.
