2009–10 Virginia Tech Hokies Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team represented the Virginia Tech in the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hokies were coached by Seth Greenberg and played their home games at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia. The Hokies are a members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 25–9, 10–6 in ACC play and lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 ACC men's basketball tournament. They were invited to the 2010 National Invitation Tournament where they advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Rhode Island. Seth Greenberg
Seth Vincent Greenberg (born April 18, 1956) is an American college basketball broadcaster who works as an analyst for ESPN. Prior to taking the position at ESPN he was a coach for 34 years, the last 22 as a head coach. Greenberg has been the head coach at Long Beach State, the University of South Florida, and Virginia Tech. He was a two-time ACC Coach of the Year. Early life and college playing career Seth Greenberg is one of the three sons of Marilyn and Ralph Greenberg of Plainview, New York. Older brother Brad also became a college basketball coach. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview in 1974, Greenberg attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Canóvanas (, ) is a town and municipality in Puerto Rico, located in the northeastern region, north of Juncos and Las Piedras; south of Loíza; east of Carolina; and west of Río Grande. Erick Green
Erick O'Brien Green (born May 9, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Budućnost VOLI in the Prva A Liga and the ABA League. He finished the 2012–13 NCAA Division I season as the top scorer in the nation at 25.0 points per game. Green was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 46th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft, but was later traded to the Denver Nuggets. Petersburg High School is located in Petersburg, Virginia, and is the only high school in Petersburg City Public Schools. Petersburg High School is located on Johnson Road in Petersburg, Virginia. Cadarian Raines (born October 12, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for KB Trepça of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague. Standing at 2.06 m (6'9"), he plays the power forward and the center positions.
