2009–10 KML Season
The 2009–10 G4S Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 85th season of the Estonian basketball league and the first under the title sponsorship of G4S. Tallinna Kalev/Cramo came into the season as defending champions of the 2008–09 KML season. The season started on 13 October 2009 and concluded on 14 May 2010 with TÜ/Rock defeating Rakvere Tarvas 4 games to 2 in the 2015 KML Finals to win their 25th Estonian League title. 2008–09 KML Season
The 2008–09 SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga is the 18th season of the Estonian basketball league and the fifth under the title sponsorship of SEB. Including the competition's previous incarnations, this is the 84th season of the Estonian men's basketball league. TÜ/Rock came into the season as defending champions of the 2007–08 KML season. The season started on 15 October 2008 and concluded on 1 June 2009 with Kalev/Cramo defeating TÜ/Rock 4 games to 2 in the 2009 KML Finals to win their 3rd Estonian League title. Põltsamaa Felixhall
Põltsamaa (german: Oberpahlen) is a town in Põltsamaa Parish, Jõgeva County, Estonia. The town is situated on the Põltsamaa River, and features a 13th-century castle. Alar Varrak
Alar Varrak (born 20 April 1982) is an Estonian basketball coach and a former point guard. He is the assistant coach of Kalev/Cramo of in the VTB United League. Career Varrak was born in Jõgeva, and spent his short playing career in the Estonian League. In 2008 he became the assistant coach of Kalev/Cramo and succeeded Aivar Kuusmaa as the head coach on 24 November 2012. Varrak was fired from Kalev/Cramo in November 2017. In January 2018 he became the head coach of Lithuanian League team Dzūkija Alytus. He left due to health reasons in April. In July 2018 he was elected as the sporting director of the Estonian Basketball Association. He resigned from the sporting director position in July 2019 and signed with Russian Basketball Super League 1 team Ural Yekaterinburg. He was fired from the team in November 2019 due to poor results. Saku Arena
Unibet Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the Haabersti subdistrict of the Estonian capital, Tallinn. Opened in November 2001, it is the largest multi-purpose hall in the country with around 7,000 seats but can hold up to 10,000 people. It generally hosts basketball games, as well as sport competitions, trade fairs, corporate events and concerts. The name sponsor for the arena is the Swedish sports betting company Unibet and the venue is owned by businessman Marcel Vichmann via his company Best Idea OÜ. Until 31 December 2022, the venue was called Saku Suurhall. History Initial plans for the arena were announced in August 1999. Unibet Arena opened in November 2001. Kalle Klandorf
Kalle Klandorf (born 7 January 1956 in Tallinn) is an Estonian politician, basketball coach and sport figure. Since 1995 he has coached the teams who play in Meistriliiga. 2012-2016 he was the principal coach of Tallinna Kalev. 1993-1995 he was the president of Estonian Dance Sport Association. Since 2014 he is the president of Estonian Boxing Association. 2005-2011 he was the elder of Lasnamäe District. 2011–2021 he was vice-mayor of Tallinn. BC Tallinna Kalev
Tallinna Kalev/TLÜ is a professional basketball club based in Tallinn, Estonia. The team plays in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League and Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Their home arena is the Audentes Sports Centre. History The team was founded in 2002 as Pirita. Coached by Kalle Klandorf, the team joined the top-tier Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) in the 2002–03 season. In 2002, Pirita reached the Estonian Cup final, but were defeated by University of Tartu 76–92. In 2008, Pirita joined the multi-sport club Kalev. The team adopted the name Tallinna Kalev prior to the 2008–09 season. The team signed power forward Travis Reed for the 2009–10 season, while former Estonia national team coach Üllar Kerde joined the coaching staff.
