2009 Supersport World Championship
The 2009 Supersport World Championship was the eleventh Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Supersport World Championship season—the thirteenth taking into account the two held under the name of Supersport World Series. The season started on 1 March at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Phillip Island and finished on 25 October at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimão after 14 rounds. The championship supported the Superbike World Championship at every round. Despite a win at the final round for Eugene Laverty, a fourth-place finish by Cal Crutchlow won him the championship by seven points over the Irish rider. 2009 Superbike World Championship
The 2009 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-second season of the Superbike World Championship. It was the second season in which HANNspree had been the title sponsor of the championship. The South African round returned on 15–17 May at Kyalami for first time since the 2002 Superbike World Championship, 2002 season that the Superbike World Championship had raced there; other changes in the calendar were the return of Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola after a two-season absence as the replacement for ACI Vallelunga Circuit, Vallelunga and the discontinuation of Brands Hatch as one of the British venues. Michele Pio Pirro (born 5 July 1986) is a motorcycle road racer from Italy, He was 2007 and 2008 the ''Italian CIV National Champion in the Superstock class'' and a test rider for Ducati factory racing in MotoGP and rides occasionally as a wildcard. He has also competed in Grand Prix motorcycle racing and the Supersport World Championship. The Misano World Circuit (officially known as Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli or Misano Circuit Sic 58, and before 2006 called Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica) is a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico (Province of Rimini) in the frazione of Santa Monica-Cella. Joan Lascorz
Joan Lascorz Moreno (born 27 February 1985) is a former Spanish motorcycle racer. He competed in the Supersport World Championship from 2005 to 2010 and in the Superbike World Championship in 2011 and 2012. Racing career Born in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat near Barcelona, Lascorz won the 1995 Catalan Pocket Bike Championship. He raced scooters and 125ccs in his home country, before switching back to Supermoto for 2004, winning the Spanish Championship in this field. Utah Motorsports Campus is a race track facility located in Grantsville near Tooele, Utah, United States. It operated under the name of Miller Motorsports Park from 2006 until October 2015. Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit (from ''Khaya lami'', ''My home'' in Zulu) is a motor racing circuit located in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa, just north of Johannesburg. The circuit has been used for Grand Prix and Formula One races and has hosted the South African Grand Prix twenty times. 2009 Monza Superbike World Championship Round
The 2009 Monza Superbike World Championship round was the fifth round of the 2009 Superbike World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of May 8–10, 2009 at Monza. Results Superbike race 1 Race 1 was stopped before the end of the first lap because of an accident on the first corner that left debris and oil on the track. It was later restarted but Max Neukirchner, Brendan Roberts and Makoto Tamada were not able to restart due to the injuries suffered in the crash. Neukirchner suffered a broken right femur and a dislocation to his right foot, while Roberts suffered bruising, and Tamada suffered a broken wrist.
