2009 Nature Valley Grand Prix
The 2009 Nature Valley Grand Prix was the 9th edition of the Nature Valley Grand Prix stage race. It took place from June 10 through June 14 as part of the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar. The winner was Australian rider Rory Sutherland of who won the race on the final criterium. Rory Sutherland (cyclist)
Rory Sutherland (born 8 February 1982) is an Australian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2005 and 2020, for the , , , , and teams. After retiring, Sutherland became the Elite Road Coordinator for the Australian cycling team. Career Born in Canberra, Australia, Sutherland began racing competitively at the age of 14, and rode in Europe with and from 2001 to 2005. He tested positive for Clomiphene, which according to some medical experts is not a performance-enhancing drug although it is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) banned substance list. In 2006 Sutherland was given a 9-month conditional suspension by the Belgian Cycling Federation, with whom he holds a racing licence. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Vuelta a España. Peter Latham (cyclist)
Peter David Latham (born 8 January 1984) is a New Zealand former professional racing cyclist. He competed in the team pursuit at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where New Zealand finished tenth. In 2005 Latham won the bronze medal in the Under 23 Individual Time Trial at the Road World Championships in Madrid. He competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne where along with Tim Gudsell, Hayden Godfrey and Marc Ryan he won a bronze medal in the Team pursuit. Career In 2005 Latham went to the UCI Road World Championships to compete in the Under-23 category. In the time trial Latham came third 37 seconds behind winner Mikhail Ignatiev. Later in November Latham rode the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge winning the event in a sprint against Jeremy Yates and Gordon McCauley. Cannon Falls
Cannon Falls is a city in Goodhue County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,083 at the 2010 census. Located along U.S. Route 52, southeast of the Twin Cities, Cannon Falls is the home of Pachyderm Studio, where many famous musicians have recorded, including Nirvana, which recorded its 1993 album ''In Utero'' there. Team Mountain Khakis
Team SmartStop was an American UCI Continental cycling team that was formed in 2008 when the team Time was disbanded. SmartStop was originally named Mountain Khakis. Team SmartStop was directed by former professional cyclist Mike Creed, who in his own right had a very successful international cycling career. After coming on board with Team SmartStop and changing the program to a stage racing team, Creed led the team to many victories in 2014 including the USA Pro Road Race National Championships and the UCI America's Tour.
