The 2009 Japan Golf Tour was the 37th season of the Japan Golf Tour. The season consisted of 24 official events, all played in Japan. The 2009 Asian Tour was the 15th season of the modern Asian Tour, the main men's professional golf tour in Asia excluding Japan, since it was established in 1995. Prize money for the season exceeded US$39 million and Thongchai Jaidee topped the Order of Merit for the third time with US$981,932. Daisuke Maruyama
is a Japanese professional golfer currently playing on the Japan Golf Tour. Career Maruyama was born in Chiba Prefecture and played his first full season on the Japan Golf Tour in 2001. He picked up his first win on Tour in 2005 at the Fujisankei Classic. His best year on Tour so far was in 2005, with a win, eight top-10s, and 22 of 27 cuts made.
