2009 JB Group Classic
The 2009 JB Group Classic is a women's exhibition (no points for the world ranking can be earned) team tennis tournament organized at the beginning of each season. Unlike previous years, the tournament is played in a round robin format. Zhang Ling (; born October 28, 1989), stylized as Lynn Zhang after retirement, is a former professional Chinese tennis player competing for Hong Kong. On 12 September 2011, she reached her highest singles ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) of 184. On 22 June 2009, she also reached her highest WTA doubles ranking of 219. She won 14 singles titles and seven doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. In 2014, she had her first main-draw match win on the WTA Tour in Kuala Lumpur. Primarily, it provides the results of notable tournaments throughout the year on both the ATP and WTA Tours, the Davis Cup, and the Fed Cup. Changes The structure of both the WTA and ATP tours has been changed for 2009. On the men's side, Masters Series events have been replaced by Masters 1000 tournaments, while the International Series Gold and International Series tournaments are now 500 Series and 250 Series events respectively. The season-ending ATP World Tour Finals remains unchanged. On the women's tour, the tiered system which has existed since 1988 has been scrapped in favour of a structure closer to the men's circuit. Michelle Larcher de Brito (born 29 January 1993) is a Portuguese former professional tennis player. She is the former Portuguese No. 1.
