2008–09 Washington Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2008–09 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2008–09 college basketball season. This was head coach Lorenzo Romar's 7th season at Washington. The Huskies played their home games at Bank of America Arena and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 26–9, 14–4 in Pac-10 play and they captured the Pac–10 regular season title and an at-large bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Lorenzo Romar
Lorenzo Romar (born November 13, 1958) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the head men's basketball coach at Pepperdine University, a position he held from 1996 to 1999 and resumed in 2018. Romar also served as the head men's basketball coach at Saint Louis University from 1999 to 2002 and the University of Washington from 2002 to 2017. Playing career Romar played college basketball at Cerritos College from 1976–78 and then for Washington from 1978 to 1980. After college, he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors and spent five years playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Justin Dentmon
Justin Lorenzo Dentmon (born September 5, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball for Washington. In 2010, he was the top scorer in the Israel Basketball Premier League. High school career In 2004 Dentmon led his Carbondale Community High School team to a fourth place state finish, during his senior season. He was the top scorer in the 2004 state tournament in Peoria scoring 78 points in only three games. Dentmon led his team in points with 22.1 points per game accumulating 773 points over his senior season. Toledo is a city in Lewis County, Washington, United States. The population was 631 at the 2020 census. History Toledo was officially incorporated on October 10, 1892. Quincy Pondexter
Quincy Coe Pondexter (born March 10, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He is currently an assistant coach for the University of Washington men's basketball team. He played high school basketball in Fresno, California, at San Joaquin Memorial High School. Pondexter played four years of college basketball at the University of Washington. At the end of his senior season, he earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press. Washington High School (WHS) is public high school in Washington, Missouri that is part of the School District of Washington. History Washington High School was built in 1900, with its class of 1900–1901 having only five graduates, and 47 students total. Following the case Brown v. Board of Education, Washington Schools desegregated in 1954 with Clifford Aitch being the first African-American graduate in 1959. Aitch would later teach physical education in the Washington School District as its first African-American teacher. Scott Suggs (born November 10, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Iraklis of the Greek Basket League. He played college basketball for the University of Washington before playing professionally in the NBA G League, France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Israel.
