The 2008–09 PlusLiga was the 73rd season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 9th season as a professional league, the first season under the name PlusLiga organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. KS AZS Częstochowa SSA was a Polish professional men's volleyball club based in Częstochowa, founded in 1945 as a university team (AZS). The club competed in the Polish PlusLiga from to 1979 to 2017. Evolution of the Arabic digit In the Brahmi numerals, beginning, various Indians wrote a digit 9 similar in shape to the modern closing question mark without the bottom dot. The Kshatrapa, Andhra and Gupta started curving the bottom vertical line coming up with a -look-alike. 2009–10 CEV Cup
The 2009–10 CEV Cup was the 38th edition of the European CEV Cup volleyball club tournament. Italian club Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo beat Russian club Iskra Odintsovo in the finale. 2009–10 CEV Champions League
The 2009–10 CEV Champions League was the 51st edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 24 teams will be drawn to 6 pools of 4 teams each. The 1st – 2nd ranked will qualify for the Playoffs 12. The organizer of the Final Four will be determined after the end of the League Round and qualifies directly for the Final Four. The team of the organizer of the Final Four will be replaced by the 3rd ranked team with the best score. The four next 3rd ranked teams move to CEV Cup. The remaining teams are eliminated. Trefl Gdańsk, previously known as Lotos Trefl Gdańsk, is a professional men's volleyball club based in Gdańsk in northern Poland. The club was founded in 2005 and promoted to the Polish PlusLiga in 2011. Two–time Polish Cup winner (2015, 2018). Unfortunately, Trefl did not manage to stay in the league for long and has been relegated in the next season, in 2009. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court.
