The 2008–09 season was the 122nd season of competitive football by Hamilton Academical and the first back in the top-flight of Scottish football following promotion from the Scottish Football League at the end of the 2007–08 season. Excelsior Stadium
The Excelsior Stadium, is a football stadium in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Airdrieonians of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Since the 2021–22 season it has also been used by Celtic for the home matches of their women's team in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) and B team in the Scottish Lowland Football League, as well as by Glasgow University F.C. of the West of Scotland Football League. Andrew Waterworth
Andrew Waterworth (born 11 April 1986) is a former footballer from Northern Ireland who is the interim manager of the Northern Ireland women's national team. Club career Hamilton Academical Waterworth joined Hamilton from Lisburn Distillery in January 2008 for a fee of £20,000. He made his debut against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup in February. Coatbridge
Coatbridge ( sco, Cotbrig or Coatbrig, gd, Drochaid a' Chòta) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, about east of Glasgow city centre, set in the central Lowlands. Cliftonhill Stadium, commonly known as Cliftonhill and currently 'The Reigart Stadium' for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League team Albion Rovers F.C., who have played at the ground since 1919. Brian Neil Easton (born 5 March 1988) is a Scottish people, Scottish association football, footballer who plays for East Fife F.C., East Fife as a Defender (association football), defender. Easton started his career with Hamilton Academical F.C., Hamilton Academical, winning the Scottish Football League First Division, Scottish First Division championship in 2008. James Grady (footballer)
James Grady (born 14 March 1971) is a Scottish former professional footballer who spent the majority of his career in the top two divisions in Scottish football. He played as a striker, and became player-manager for Greenock Morton in the First Division between 2009 and 2010. Grady started in the junior ranks with Barrhead side Arthurlie, before turning senior with Clydebank. After three seasons at Kilbowie, Grady got a move to Dundee, where stayed for another three seasons. Another spell of three seasons was spent at Ayr United, before a season at Partick Thistle. He then played at Tannadice Park with Dundee United for a season before spending three years winning the First Division title with the ill-fated Gretna. Shielfield Park
Shielfield Park is a football stadium that is home to Berwick Rangers and Berwick Bandits speedway team. Although Berwick Rangers is a Scottish Lowland Football League club, Shielfield Park is situated in the English county of Northumberland. History There has been a ground at Shielfield Park, named after land owned by local butcher William Shiel Dods, since 1890. Berwick Rangers played at a number of other sites in Berwick, including a ground adjacent to the present site at Shielfield. Berwick Rangers first entered the Scottish Football League in 1951.
