The 2008 Nordea Danish Open was a women's professional tennis event on the 2008 ITF Women's Circuit, which took place from 17 to 23 November. The event was hosted in Odense, Denmark. It was played on indoor carpet courts. The total prize money offered at this tournament was US$100,000. The tournament was only played in 2008. Caroline Wozniacki
Caroline Wozniacki (; born 11 July 1990) is a Danish former professional tennis player. She was ranked world No. 1 in singles for a total of 71 weeks, including at the end of 2010 and 2011. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Mervana Jugić-Salkić (born 14 May 1980) is a retired Bosnian tennis player. She turned professional in 1999, and reached her highest singles ranking on 21 June 2004, when she was ranked world No. 99. Andrea Petkovic (, ; born 9 September 1987) is a German former professional tennis player. Born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian father Zoran and Bosniak mother Amira, she moved to Germany at six months old and turned professional in 2006 at the age of 18.
