The 2008 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 30th edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy men's field hockey tournament. It was held in from June 21 to June 29, 2008 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Matías Enrique Paredes (born 1 February 1982) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Ducilo and the Argentine national team. Club career Paredes started his club career with Ducilo at age four in his native Argentina, before moving to Germany to play with UHC Hamburg in 2002. He then moved on to the Netherlands to play for Laren. He also played for SCHC in Bilthoven, Netherlands. International career Paredes made his debut for the national squad in 2001, and competed for his native country in the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Robert Hammond (born 1981) is an Australian field hockey player from Queensland. He has played hockey on the state level. He has been a consistent member of the Australia men's national field hockey team. He was with the team when they won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is competing for a spot on the team to represent the country at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also a member of the team that won a gold medal at the 2010 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy. Barry Dancer
Barry John Dancer (born 27 August 1952 in Brisbane, Queensland) is a former Australian field hockey player and coach of Australian men's national field hockey team. As a player he competed in 48 international matches for Australia between 1973 and 1979. he was a member of the men's hockey team that won a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Dancer coached the English men's hockey team from 1997 to 1999 and the Great Britain team at the 2000 Summer Olympics, where the team came sixth. Dancer took up the position of Head Coach of the Australian men's national field hockey team in 2001 and retired the position after 2008 Summer Olympics. Ignacio Bergner
Ignacio Bergner (born 26 August 1984) is an Argentine field hockey player. Has a sister in Mendoza Ingrid Bergner. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men's tournament. Bergner plays in Royal Orée Hockey Club in Brussels. Matías Alejandro Rey (born 1 December 1984) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a defender for the Argentine national team.
