Kazakhstan Premier League
The Kazakhstan Professional Football League ( kk, Қазақстан Премьер Лигасы, ''Qazaqstan Premer Ligasy''), commonly referred to as Kazakh Premier League or simply Premier League, is the top division of football in Kazakhstan. The League is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and was set up in 1992. The League is fed into by the First Division and starts in spring and finishes in late autumn because of the low temperatures in the winter, with each championship corresponding to a calendar year. FC Alma-Ata
FC Alma-Ata ( kk, Алматы футбол клубы, ''Alamty Fýtbol Klýby'') was a Kazakh association football club based in Almaty between 2000 and 2008. History In 2000 the club was formed as ''FC Tsesna'' in Almaty. Tsesna played in the Kazakhstan First Division for the first time in 2003, finishing second and earning themselves promotion to the Kazakhstan Premier League. Following their promotion, the club's management changed the club's name to ''FC Alma-Ata'', finishing their debut season in 18th position under the management of Edgar Gess. The following season, first under Igor Romanov, and then Antonius Joore, the club improved and finished 13th. The 2006 was the club's best season, again with Antonius Joore as their manager, the club finished 5th in the league and won the Kazakhstan Cup for the first time. Aktobe
Aktobe ( kz, Ақтөбе, Aqtöbe; russian: Актобе, Aktobe) is a city on the Ilek River in Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of Aktobe Region. In 2020, it had a population of 500,757 people. Aktobe is located in the west of Kazakhstan. The area of the city is about 428,469 km2. There are two water reservoirs: Aktobe and Sazdy. Aktobe ranks fourth among the cities of Kazakhstan in terms of population and is the largest city in western Kazakhstan. The city's populace is ethnically diverse, with 79% being Kazakhs and 14.8% being Russians. The predominant religions are Islam and Christianity. The agglomeration of Aktobe is expected to grow up to 1.3 million people, including nearby settlements. Vladimir Mukhanov
Vladimir Vasilievich Mukhanov (Russian: Владимир Васильевич Муханов; born 20 April 1954) is a Russian football coach and a former player. He is the manager of FC Aktobe in Kazakhstan. Career He played 37 games in Soviet Top League and scored 6 goals. He started his managerial career in 1992 and managed several Russian First Division teams until 2003, when he came in charge of Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Tobol. Later he won Kazakhstan Cup with FC Astana-1964 in 2005, and the league in 2007 with FC Aktobe. The year 2008 was the most successful season for him, when his team won all three home trophies: League, Cup and Supercup. On 17 May 2017, Mukhanov resigned as manager of FC Okzhetpes. FC Vostok ( kk, Восток Футбол Клубы, ''Vostok Fýtbol Klýby'') was a Kazakhstan, Kazakh association football, football club from Oskemen (Ust-Kamenogorsk), and a founding member of the Kazakhstan Premier League in 1992. Football Club Kairat ( kk, Qaırat Fýtbol Klýby) is a professional association football, football club based in Almaty, which plays in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Football in Kazakhstan, Kazakh football. Founded in 1954 as Lokomotiv Alma-Ata, they became Urozhay in 1955 and Kairat in 1956. The club's home ground is the Central Stadium (Almaty), Central Stadium which has a capacity of 23,804.
