2008 K League Championship
The 2008 K League Championship was the twelfth competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 26th champions of the K League. The top six clubs of the regular season qualified for the championship. The winners of the regular season directly qualified for the final, and second place team qualified for the semi-final. The other four clubs entered the first round, and the winners of the second round advanced to the semi-final. Each match was played as a single match, excluding the final which consisted of two matches. Suwon Samsung Bluewings became the champions by defeating FC Seoul 3–2 on aggregate in the final. Kwak Hee-Ju (born 5 October 1981) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a defender who last played for Suwon Samsung Bluewings. At first, he did not enjoy much success with the team, but since early of 2004, he has become one of the key players of defence of Suwon Samsung Bluewings. Adilson Dos Santos
Adilson dos Santos, shortly Adi or Adilson (born 12 May 1976), is a former Brazilian footballer, who last played as a left-back for South Korean K League Classic side FC Seoul. His good impression in Seoul was such that after retiring, he stayed as assistant manager at the club. Club career Adilson started his senior career playing with Apucarana Atlético Clube, and by 1998 he was estimated the best defender in Paraná State championship. Next year, he moved to Serbian Red Star Belgrade where he played 11 matches in the First League of FR Yugoslavia during the 1998–99 season. In 1999, he moved to Real Betis. but he did not make debut and moved to Sevilla FC. However, Sevilla did not have enough money to pay the transfer fee, so Real Betis lodged a complaint against Sevilla FC and he was not allowed to play for Sevilla FC. Seoul World Cup Stadium
The Seoul World Cup Stadium (), also known as Sangam Stadium, is a stadium used mostly for association football matches. The venue is located in 240, World Cup-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It was built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and opened on November 10, 2001. It is currently the second largest stadium in South Korea after Seoul Olympic Stadium, and is the 2nd largest rectangular stadium in Asia. It was designed to represent the image of a traditional Korean kite. Kim Eun-jung (; born 8 April 1979) is a South Korean retired footballer who played as a striker. He is currently a coach at Tubize after joining the team in 2015 as a youth scout. He played in the South Korea national team at 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok and 2004 AFC Asian Cup in China. He was also a member of South Korea under-23 team at 2002 Asian Games in Busan. Dejan Damjanović ( sr-cyrl, Дејан Дамјановић, ; born 27 July 1981), also known mononymously as Dejan, is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a forward for Hong Kong Premier League club Kitchee. Seongnam
Seongnam () is the fourth largest city in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province after Suwon and the 10th largest city in the country. Its population is approximately one million.
