2008 Holland Ladies Tour
The 11th edition of the annual Holland Ladies Tour was held from September 2 to September 7, 2008. The women's stage race with an UCI rating of 2.2 started in Hellendoorn, and ended in Berg en Terblijt. Charlotte Becker
Charlotte Becker (born 19 May 1983 in Datteln, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's road race, but finished over the time limit. She also competed on the track in the women's team pursuit for the national team. She signed for for the 2015 road cycling season. Her older sister Christina Becker is also a track cyclist and competed together with her in the team pursuit. Mirjam Melchers
Maria Wilhelmina Johanna "Mirjam" Melchers-Van Poppel (born 26 September 1975 in Arnhem, Gelderland) is a female former racing cyclist from the Netherlands, married to former sprinter Jean-Paul van Poppel. She was one of the leading cyclists in the world, having held the UCI number one ranking as well as winning highly rated races. She was a one-day specialist but has managed smaller stage races. In 2003, she won the GP Feminas Castilla y Leon round of the World Cup and finished third overall in the series behind Nicole Cooke and German sprinter Regina Schleicher. Melchers also finished first in the Damesronde van Drenthe and the Emakumeen Bira, before bringing her season to a close with a silver medal at the world championship road race in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Loes Gunnewijk (born 27 November 1980 in Groenlo) is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2015. Gunnewijk was a member of the Dutch national team together with Ellen van Dijk, Marianne Vos and Annemiek van Vleuten in the road race at the 2012 Summer Olympics where Vos won the gold medal. Gunnewijk announced her retirement from the sport in May 2015, subsequently completing the Union Cycliste Internationale's Sports Directors Diploma course in November 2015. Between May and the end of 2016, Gunnewijk joined her old cycling team as a trainee directeur sportif. Iris Slappendel (born 18 February 1985) is a Dutch former road racing cyclist. Career She won the 2012 Open de Suède Vårgårda road race, the penultimate event in the 2012 UCI Women's Road World Cup. Slappendel took a total of five UCI race victories in her career, including the GP Comune di Cornaredo and stages of the Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen, the Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden and La Route de France.
