2008 Albanian Supercup
2008 Albanian Supercup is the 15th edition of the Albanian Supercup since its establishment in 1989. The match was contested between the 2008 Cup winners Vllaznia Shkodër and the 2007–08 Albanian Superliga champions Dinamo Tirana. Dinamo Tirana won the final by 2 goals to nil and lifted the cup after years of Tirana dominance of the event. Albanian Supercup
The Albanian Supercup is a single match usually at the beginning of the season between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and Albanian Cup. Supercup final was not played in the occasions when the champion team won the Double (association football), Double. However, after year 2000 Albanian Football Association, AFA rules changed and the final would still be played against the Albanian Cup, Cup runner-ups. There have been 29 finals played in total. KF Tirana are the most successful team to have won the trophy 12 times. Dritan Smajli, also spelled as Dritan Smajlaj, (born 12 February 1985) is an Albanian retired footballer who played as a defender for Kastrioti Krujë, Besëlidhja Lezhë, Vllaznia Shkodër, FK Kukesi and KF Tirana. Elvin Beqiri (born 27 September 1980) is a former Albanian footballer, who spent the mayority of his career playing Vllaznia Shkodër. Beqiri was also an international footballer, having 47 caps for the Albania national team. His former teams included Metalurh Donetsk, Alania Vladikavkaz, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Khazar Lankaran. Amarildo Belisha (born 11 July 1981) is a retired Albanian footballer who played as a midfielder and defender. Zlatko Dalić (; born 26 October 1966) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He is the manager of the Croatia national team since 2017 and led them to a runners-up finish at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and third place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
