2007 Seve Trophy
The 2007 Seve Trophy took place between 27–30 September at The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort in the Republic of Ireland. The team captain for Great Britain and Ireland was Nick Faldo, with the captain for Continental Europe being Seve Ballesteros. Great Britain and Ireland retained the trophy for the third consecutive time. Format The teams competed over four days with five Four-ball golf, fourball matches on both Thursday and Friday, four greensomes matches on Saturday morning, four foursomes matches on Saturday afternoon and ten matchplay, singles on Sunday. It means a total of 28 points are available with 14½ points required for victory. If the score finished at 14-14, then two players from each team would play the 18th using the greensomes format to find the winner. Simon Dyson
Simon John Dyson (born 21 December 1977) is an English professional golfer. He played on the European Tour from 2001 to 2017, having played on the Asian Tour in 2000 and winning the Order of Merit. He had six wins on the European Tour, including the KLM Open three times. After struggling with a wrist injury he retired from competitive golf in early 2019. Marc Warren (born 1 April 1981) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Nicholas James Dougherty (born 24 May 1982) is a retired English professional golfer. Dougherty was born in Bootle, Merseyside, and attended Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Blackburn, Lancashire. He is a protégé of former professional golfer, Nick Faldo, and had an exceptional amateur career. Phillip Neil Archer (born 17 March 1972) is an English professional golfer. Career Archer was born in Warrington. He is best known for shooting a score of 60 in the first round at the Celtic Manor Wales Open in 2006. Oliver John Wilson (born 14 September 1980) is an English professional golfer. Wilson was a member of the 2008 Ryder Cup, but had to wait another six years for his first European Tour win, the 2014 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Amateur career Wilson was born in Mansfield, England, where his golfing career began at Coxmoor Golf Club, having been a junior at Oakmere Park Golf Club. Graeme Storm
Graeme Raymond Storm (born 13 March 1978) is an English professional golfer. Career Storm was born in Hartlepool. He learnt his trade at Hartlepool Golf Club, where he still holds the course record of 62. He won The Amateur Championship in 1999 and represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Walker Cup, before turning professional in 2000.
