2007 IIHF World Championship
The 2007 IIHF World Championship was held between 27 April and 13 May 2007 in Moscow, Russia. It was the 71st annual world championship event run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament was won by Canada with Rick Nash being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Ivo Rüthemann
Ivo Rüthemann (born December 12, 1976) is a former Swiss professional ice hockey winger. Playing career His career started with SC Rheintal. He transferred to HC Davos of the National League A (NLA) in 1994, where he played until 1999, when he opted to sign with fellow NLA side SC Bern. He remained with the club for the remainder of his career, winning Swiss championships in 2004, 2010 and 2013 as well as the 2000 Spengler Cup. He received NLA MVP honors in 2003-04 and 2009-10. Rüthemann put an end to his playing career after the 2013-14 season. In 1072 NLA games, he recorded 311 goals and 399 assists. Goran Bezina (born 21 March 1980) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey defenseman who played most of his career with Genève-Servette HC of the National League (NL). Per Hållberg (born March 24, 1978 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player currently playing for Växjö Lakers Hockey of the Elitserien (SEL). Hållberg has played over 500 games in the Elitserien. He has won both the Swedish Championship and the World Championship one time each. Tony Hans Mårtensson (born June 23, 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey center. He was born in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Playing career Mårtensson was drafted by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the 7th round as the 224th pick overall.
