2007 IAAF World Road Running Championships
The 2007 IAAF World Road Running Championships were held in Udine, Italy on 14 October 2007. Detailed reports on the event and an appraisal of the results were given both for the men's race and for the women's race. Udine
Udine ( , ; fur, Udin; la, Utinum) is a city and ''comune'' in north-eastern Italy, in the middle of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps (''Alpi Carniche''). Dickson Marwa
Dickson Marwa Mkami (born 9 March 1982 in Tarime District, Mara Region) is a Tanzanian long-distance runner. He competes in both track and road running. He represented Tanzania at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2008 Olympic Games. He is the Tanzanian record holder for the half marathon with his best of 59:52 minutes. He finished sixteenth over 10,000 metres at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics and was also seventh at the 2007 IAAF World Road Running Championships that year. He was fourteenth on the track at the Beijing Olympics and finished sixteenth for a second time at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. He is a two-time winner of the Sydney City2Surf and the Bridge to Brisbane, having won both the races in 2006 and 2007. He took part in the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon in 2008 and finished in third. He finished eighth in the 10,000 metres at the 2006 World Junior Championships, 21st at the 2007 World Road Running Championships and did not finish the race at the 2010 World Cross Country Championships. Tariku Jufar (born 18 July 1984) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. He has won the Beijing, Beirut and Houston Marathons and has had top-three finishes in Istanbul, Mumbai, Los Angeles, Lake Biwa and Hamburg. Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba (born 2 February 1984 in Kaptul, Marakwet District) is a Kenyan long-distance track, and road running athlete. Biography He started running while at Hossen Primary School. Kipchumba won the junior race at the 2000 World Cross Country Championships in Vilamoura finishing in 22:49. Later that year in Santiago de Chile he won the gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Athletics when he finished the 10,000 m in 28:54.37.
