2007 European Curling Championships
The 2007 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Füssen, Germany December 1-8, 2007. Scotland, skipped by David Murdoch, won the gold medal by beating Norway's Thomas Ulsrud 5-3 in the final. Norway had not lost a single game entering the final. On the women's side, Anette Norberg of Sweden captured the gold medal with a 9-4 victory over Scotland's Kelly Wood. This marks Norberg's sixth European championship in the last seven years. European Curling Championships
The European Curling Championships are annual curling tournaments held in Europe between various European nations. The European Curling Championships are usually held in early to mid December. The tournament also acts as a qualifier for the World Championships, where the top eight nations qualify. In November 1974, a six-nations tournament was held in Zürich, Switzerland which included Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, and Norway. In March 1975, it was decided that the championships would be competed in December. At the semi-annual general meeting in Gävle, Sweden in April 2004, a new competition called the European Mixed Curling Championships was formed. Bo Jensen
Bo Jensen (born 1976) is an internationally elite curler from Denmark. For the 2009/2010 competitive season he has played Second for Ulrik Schmidt's team from Denmark. At the 2009 Moncton World Championships Team Denmark placed seventh with a 5 - 6 record. Andy Kapp
Andreas "Andy" Kapp (born 8 December 1967) is a German curler from Unterthingau. After a number of several tournaments at the Junior, Olympic and World Championship levels, Kapp surprised many by winning the 1992 European championship. The next year however, he finished only 7th, but at the 1994 World Championships he and his team won the bronze medal. The next year, Kapp would go on to win the bronze medal once again. Two years later, at the 1997 World Championships, Kapp achieved his best showing at a World Championship, as he led his team to a silver medal, losing to Sweden's Peja Lindholm in the final. Kapp would also win his second European championships in December that year, soon before the first ever official medal Olympics for curling in Nagano. He would have a disappointing 1998 Olympics though where as one of the top medal favorites he went 1-6, finishing in last place in the 8-team field. Raphael Mathieu
Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, better known as Raphael (; or ; March 28 or April 6, 1483April 6, 1520), was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. Richard Ducroz
Richard Ducroz (born 11 June 1983) is an internationally elite curler from Chamonix, France. He made his World Championship debut at the 2007 Edmonton World Championships with a team skipped by Thomas Dufour. The team finished the round robin competition with a 6 - 5 record and in a four way tie for fourth place. They lost their tiebreaker against Team Sweden skipped by Peja Lindholm. In 2008 he returned to the World Championships with the same team and achieved the same 6 - 5 win–loss record, this time to finish in fifth place. Team Dufour's third trip to the world championships was less successful. They finished with a 4 - 7 record and in eighth place; however, it was good enough to earn a spot for Team France at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Jan Henri Ducroz (born 6 May 1971) is an internationally elite curler from Chamonix, France. He made his World Championship debut at the 2007 Ford World Men's Curling Championship with a team skipped by Thomas Dufour. The team finished the round robin competition with a 6 - 5 record and in a four way tie for fourth place. They lost their tiebreaker against Team Sweden skipped by Peja Lindholm. Tony Angiboust
Tony Angiboust (born 10 June 1983 in Chamonix, France) is an internationally elite curler from France. Career Tony Angiboust started curling in 1992 and curls out of the Sport Club of Chamonix. He currently is on the French team skipped by Thomas Dufour. He made his World Championship debut in 2007 where the team placed with a 6 - 5 record which placed them in a tie for fourth. However, they lost their tiebreaker against Team Sweden (skipped by Peja Lindholm) and finished in a tie for fifth place. Team France also finished the 2008 World Championships with a 6 - 5 record which again placed them in fifth place. At the 2009 World Championships they placed eighth with a 4 - 7 record. Thomas Dufour (born 12 February 1973) is a French curler. He currently skips the French national team. Jani Sullanmaa (born 19 December 1981 in Hyvinkää) is a Finland, Finnish curling, curler. He currently plays third for Aku Kauste. Sullanmaa played juniors for Tuomas Vuori as his third. He won a silver medal at the 2003 Junior "B" World Championships followed up with a 9th-place finish at the 2003 World Junior Curling Championships.
