Adam Bland
Adam Bland (born 26 August 1982) is an Australian professional golfer who has played on a number of the world's golf tours. Bland turned professional in 2005 and plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He won the 2005 Western Australia PGA Championship on the tour's developmental tour, the Von Nida Tour. He also played on the Gateway Tour in 2005 and had five top-10 finishes. He played on the Canadian Tour in 2007 and 2008 with six top-10s including two wins in 2007. He played on the Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) from 2009 to 2011 with his best finish a playoff loss to Troy Merritt in the 2009 Mexico Open. Greater Vancouver Charity Classic
The Greater Vancouver Classic was a golf tournament that was held in the Greater Vancouver area, in British Columbia, Canada. Founded as the BC TEL Pacific Open in 1994, it was a direct replacement for the cancelled British Columbia Open on the Canadian Tour. In 2000 it was re-titled as the Telus Vancouver Open. For 2002, the tournament had agreed a new multi-year sponsorship deal with a lawn car company and was to have been titled the ''Perfectly Natural Classic'', but they backed out resulting in a great deal of discussion over a new unsponsored name. Derek Gillespie
Derek Gillespie (born 6 July 1978) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the Canadian Tour, where he has won twice and the Web.com Tour. Early life Gillespie was born in Oshawa, Ontario. He was a heralded junior golfer in Canada, playing in the 1995 and 1996 Canadian Junior National Teams and was named the top Canadian golfer for those two years. He attended the University of Arizona and was the only freshman to play in every tournament. His teammates included Rory Sabbatini and Camilo Villegas' caddie Gary Mathwes. He was named to the Pac-10 Conference Team twice and inducted into the University of Arizona Golf Hall of Fame in 2000. Canadian Tour Championship
The Tour Championship of Canada is an annual golf tournament played on PGA Tour Canada, commonly known as the Canadian Tour. It is the last tournament played in the season, and in 2022 had a purse of C$225,000. The tournament was founded in 2002 as the Bay Mills Open, hosted at the Bay Mills Resort in Brimley, Michigan, United States, and became designated as the Canadian Tour's "Players Championship" the following year. In 2006, the tournament moved to Ontario, Canada as the new Canadian Tour Championship. It has since remained in Ontario, and adopted different names under various title sponsors. In 2015, it was an event reserved for those in the top 60 on the PGA Tour Canada money list. All players in this tournament retain PGA Tour Canada status. It is also a final chance to finish in the top five on the Order of Merit to earn Korn Ferry Tour cards or at least improve their position for qualifying school. The Montreal Open was a golf tournament on the Canadian Tour that was held in the Greater Montreal area, Quebec, Canada between 2004 and 2009. Founded as the Greater Montreal Open in 2004, the event was sponsored by Lexus the following year and titled the Lexus Montreal Open. Dustin Risdon
Dustin Risdon (born April 30, 1981) is a Canadian professional golfer. He joined the Canadian Professional Golf Tour in 2002 which has resulted in three Canadian wins. Risdon was born in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada. He won both the Canadian Junior and Juvenile Championships in 1997. He was the Alberta Junior champion in 1998 and 1999. Risdon won the 2008 ATB Financial Classic in his hometown of Calgary in a playoff over George Bradford. He shot 62 in the second round on his way to the title. Risdon finished T-2nd at the Players Cup, T-4th at the Stockton Sports Commission Classic, T-10 at the Saskatchewan Open. The Edmonton Open was a golf tournament on the Canadian Tour that was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1993 as the Klondike Golf Klassic and was held during the week leading up to the Klondike Days summer fair.
