2006–07 Croatian First Football League
The 2006–07 Croatian First Football League (officially known as Prva HNL Ožujsko for sponsorship reasons) was the sixteenth season of the Croatian First Football League, the national championship for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 29 July 2006 and ended on 19 May 2007. Dinamo Zagreb were the defending champions, having won their eleventh championship title the previous season, and they defended the title again, after a win against Međimurje on Matchday 29, played on 28 April 2007. Croatian First Football League
The Hrvatska nogometna liga () ( en, Croatian football league), also known as HNL or for sponsorship reasons the SuperSport HNL, is the top Croatian professional football (soccer), football league competition, established in 1992. Previously, it was called Prva Hrvatska nogometna liga (First Croatian Football League), but a league structure reorganization from 2022–23 led to name changes for the three top league levels. Overview The league was formed in 1991, following the dissolution of the Yugoslav First League, and is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. Since its formation, the league went through many changes in its system and number of participating clubs. In the first three seasons two points were awarded for a win, from 1994–95 Prva HNL, 1994–95 season this was changed to three points. Ivan Pudar (born 16 August 1961) is a Croatian professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former Football player, player who was most recently the manager of FC Caspiy, Caspiy. Playing career During his club career he played for HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk Split, FK Spartak Subotica, Spartak Subotica and Boavista F.C., Boavista. He earned one cap for the Yugoslavia national football team, Yugoslavia national team against China national football team, China in 1985 and was a reserve keeper in the squad that Miljan Miljanić took to the 1982 FIFA World Cup, 1982 World Cup. Stadion Maksimir
Maksimir Stadium ( hr, Stadion Maksimir, ) is a multi-use stadium in Zagreb, Croatia. It takes its name from the surrounding neighbourhood of Maksimir. The venue is primarily the home of Dinamo Zagreb, the top club of the country with 23 league titles, but it is also the home venue of the Croatia national football team. First opened in 1912, it has undergone many revamps, and its current layout dates from a 1997 rebuilding. The stadium also sometimes hosts other events such as rock concerts. Branko Ivanković
Branko Ivanković (; born 28 February 1954) is a Croatian former footballer who played as a midfielder, and the current manager of the Oman national team. After a 12-year playing career at Varteks, Ivanković started his coaching career at the same club in 1991. He led the Iran national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Playing career Ivanković spent his entire 12-season playing career at Varteks, appearing in a total of 263 matches and scoring 31 goals. Stadion HNK Cibalia
Stadion Cibalia is a multi-purpose stadium in Vinkovci, Croatia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of HNK Cibalia. It has a grass court, surrounded with a clay running surface, and stands, a part of which is covered. The stadium can hold 10,000 people, with 6,000 seats, of which 2,175 seats are under a roof and another 120 are in the luxury suite. It is located in the southern part of the city, across the river Bosut from the city centre. It was built in 1966, and expanded in 1982, when Dinamo Vinkovci entered the Yugoslav First League for the first time. At the time the total capacity was 18,000, but mostly standing-only. It was last upgraded in 2003, when two sets of stands were fitted with a total of 3,700 seats. Vinkovci () is a city in Slavonia, in the Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia.
