2006 Tour De Langkawi
The 2006 Tour de Langkawi was the 11th edition of the Tour de Langkawi, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. It started on 3 February in Kuala Lumpur and ended on 12 February in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, this race was rated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.HC (hors category) race on the 2005–06 UCI Asia Tour calendar. David George of South Africa won the race, followed by Francesco Bellotti of Italy second and Gabriele Missaglia of Italy third. Steffen Radochla of Germany won the points classification category and David George won the mountains classification category. South Africa won the team classification category. Stages The cyclists competed in 10 stages, covering a distance of 1,161.4 kilometres. 2005–06 UCI Asia Tour
The 2005–06 UCI Asia Tour was the second season of the UCI Asia Tour. The season began on 28 September 2005 with the Tour of Milad du Nour and ended on 16 September 2006 with the 2006 Asian Cycling Championships. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Asia Tour cycling jersey. Andrey Mizurov from Kazakhstan was the defending champion of the 2005 UCI Asia Tour. Ghader Mizbani of Iran was crowned as the 2005–06 UCI Asia Tour champion. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Maximiliano Richeze
Ariel Maximiliano Richeze Araquistain (born 7 March 1983) is an Argentine professional cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2006 until January 2023. Richeze won the silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games (Men's Team Pursuit). His brothers Roberto, Mauro and Adrián are also cyclists. Biography Richeze was born in Bella Vista. Tapah is a town and the capital of Batang Padang District, Perak, Malaysia. Name The name "Tapah" is said to be originated from the name of a freshwater fish, ''"Ikan Tapah"''. The scientific name of the fish is '' Wallago leeri''. The locals said that the name has been taken from the Perak Malay word which means "no worry". Lumut is a coastal town (population 31,880) and mukim in Manjung District, Perak, Malaysia, situated about from Ipoh, from the town of Sitiawan and it is the main gateway to Pangkor Island before established Marina Island Pangkor as second gateway.
