2006 LPGA Tour
The 2006 LPGA Tour was a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world, which took place from February through December 2006. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). In 2006, prize money on the LPGA Tour exceeded US$50 million for the first time in the history of the LPGA Tour. Lorena Ochoa became the first Mexican to top the money list on the LPGA Tour, or any major international golf tour, while Annika Sörenstam held her position as the top ranked player through the whole season. Multi-time major champions Karrie Webb and Se Ri Pak had comeback seasons after fallow periods, each claiming a major championship. 2006 saw a growth in the international presence on the Tour. Lorena Ochoa
Lorena Ochoa Reyes (; born 15 November 1981) is a Mexican former professional golfer who played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour from 2003 to 2010. She was the top-ranked female golfer in the world for 158 consecutive and total weeks (both are LPGA Tour records), from 23 April 2007 to her retirement on 2 May 2010, at the age of 28 years old. As the first Mexican golfer of either gender to be ranked number one in the world, she is considered the best Mexican golfer and the best Latin American female golfer of all time. Ochoa was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2017. Meena Lee
Meena Lee (; born 25 December 1981) is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the United States-based LPGA Tour. Lee was born in Jeonju, South Korea. She took up golf at the age of fourteen, which is unusually late for a future professional golfer, but just a few years later, in 2000, she became the Korean Amateur Champion. She turned professional in 2002, one year before graduating from Yong-In University. She won three events on the LPGA of Korea Tour in her rookie season of 2002 and topped the money list. In 2003, she won one tournament and placed fifth on the money list. Joo Mi Kim
Kim Joo-Mi (Korean 김주미 ) (born 16 July 1984), also known as Joo Mi Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer. Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea. She attended Choo Ang University and turned professional in 2002. Kim won two tournaments on the LPGA of Korea Tour in 2003 and a third in 2004. In the latter year she finished 12th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn a place on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour in 2005. Liselotte Neumann
Liselotte Maria "Lotta" Neumann (born 20 May 1966) is a Swedish professional golfer. When she recorded her first LPGA Tour win, by claiming the 1988 U.S. Women's Open title, Neumann also became the first Swedish golfer, male or female, to win a major championship. Early years Neumann was born and grew up in Finspång, Sweden. Her father Rune was a former football player and coach of a local girls football team.
