2006 Atlanta Falcons Season
The 2006 Atlanta Falcons season was the franchise's 41st in the National Football League (NFL). The team attempted to improve on their 8–8 record in 2005. Michael Vick became the first quarterback in modern NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards, with 1,039. Running back Warrick Dunn rushed for 1,140 yards, making the 2006 Falcons only the fourth team in the history of the NFL and AFL since 1920 to have two 1,000-yard rushers.Previous teams: 1972 Dolphins, 1976 Steelers, 1985 Browns The Falcons are, however, the only teamas of 2020 to have multiple 1,000-yard rushers and finish the season with a losing record. The National Football Conference – Southern Division or NFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The 2005 Fresno State football team represented California State University, Fresno in the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season, and competed as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Adam Jennings
Adam Jennings (born November 17, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Jennings was also a member of the Detroit Lions and New York Giants. College career At Fresno State, Jennings was an All- WAC first-team selection as a kickoff returner during his senior year. He was also an academic All-WAC pick for four consecutive years. The 2005 Syracuse Orange football team represented Syracuse University during the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Orange were coached by first-year head coach Greg Robinson and played their home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Quinn Ojinnaka (born April 23, 1984) is an American professional wrestler and former American football player. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling, where he performs under the ring name Moose, and is a former one-time Impact World Champion. Jerious Montreal Norwood (born July 29, 1983) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Mississippi State and is the schools second all-time leading rusher. Early years He played football and ran track at Brandon High School in Brandon, Mississippi where he was a high school All-American. He was also Mississippi's "Mr. Football", an honor given to the state's most outstanding high school football player.
