2005 Fresno State Bulldogs Football Team
The 2005 Fresno State football team represented California State University, Fresno in the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season, and competed as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Led by head coach Pat Hill, the Bulldogs played their home games at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California. Season Notes The 2005 season was among the most remarkable in recent memory, with the Bulldogs beating archrival Hawaii in the islands for the first time since 1994; beating WAC rival Boise State for the first time since they joined the WAC; and taking the two-time national champion USC Trojans to the wire in a memorable game in Los Angeles. Pat Hill
Lawrence Patrick Hill (born December 17, 1951) is an American football coach, former player, and broadcaster. He served as the head football coach at Fresno State from 1997 until his dismissal following the 2011 season. In 15 seasons as head coach as Fresno State, he led the Bulldogs to a record of 112–80, 11 bowl game appearances, and a share of the 1999 Western Athletic Conference title. Early positions Hill attended Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, California, graduating in 1970. A 1973 graduate of, and an offensive lineman for the University of California, Riverside, Hill was the offensive line coach at Los Angeles Valley College from 1974 to 1976. In 1977, he became the offensive line coach at the University of Utah, where he would stay through 1980. Kerry Locklin
Kerry Barth Locklin (born September 9, 1959) is an indoor football head coach for the Billings Outlaws of the Champions Indoor Football league (CIF). Locklin is the son of Billy Ray Locklin, a defensive end who played for the Aggies before spending ten years playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Montreal Alouettes from 1961 to 1964 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1965 to 1970. Locklin is the youngest of three brothers. Locklin graduated from Rockdale High School in Rockdale, Texas. Like his older brother Ray, Locklin graduated from New Mexico State University and played for the Aggies. Locklin was the All- WAC tight end. Drafted in the sixth round of 1982 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, he played with them for the 1982 season and with the Denver Broncos in 1987. Kibbie Dome
The William H. Kibbie-ASUI Activity Center (commonly known as the Kibbie Dome) is a multi-purpose indoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. It is the home of the Idaho Vandals of the Big Sky Conference for four sports (football, tennis, indoor track and field, soccer). Basketball was played in the venue until the autumn 2021 opening of the adjacent Idaho Central Credit Union Arena (ICCU Arena). The Kibbie Dome opened as an outdoor concrete football stadium in October 1971, built on the same site of the demolished wooden Neale Stadium. Following the 1974 season, a barrel-arched roof and vertical end walls were added and the stadium re-opened as an enclosed facility in September 1975. 2005 Idaho Vandals Football Team
The 2005 Idaho Vandals football team represented the University of Idaho during the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. Idaho competed as a first-year member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), and played their home games in the Kibbie Dome, an indoor facility on campus in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals were led by second-year head coach Nick Holt, and finished their first season in the WAC with a 2–9 overall record and 2–6 in conference play, the sixth consecutive season with a losing record. The Vandals played the previous four seasons (2001–2004) as a "football only" member of the Sun Belt Conference, following the discontinuation of football by the Big West. Aggie Memorial Stadium is an outdoor football stadium in the southwestern United States, located on the campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
