2005 Speed World Challenge ...
The 2005 Speed World Challenge season was the 16th season of the Sports Car Club of America's World Challenge series. The series' title sponsor was television network Speed Channel, who broadcast all the races. Championships were awarded for grand touring and touring cars. The season began on March 18 and ran for eleven rounds. Andy Pilgrim and Cadillac won the championships in GT, and Peter Cunningham and Acura won in Touring Car. The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a non-profit American automobile club and sanctioning body supporting road racing, rallying, and autocross in the United States. Formed in 1944, it runs many programs for both amateur and professional racers. Wolf Henzler
Wolfgang Henzler (born 5 April 1975) is a former German Porsche factory racing driver. He began racing in 1991 with a win in the German Junior Kart championship. Born in Nürtingen, Baden-Württemberg, he won one time the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 in the GTE PRO category. His last major championship win was in the GT class of the 2013 Petit Le Mans. Lexington is a village along the Clear Fork River in Troy Township and Washington Township in Richland County in the U.S. state of Ohio. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, United States, just outside the village of Lexington. Mid-Ohio has also colloquially become a term for the entire north-central region of the state, from south of Sandusky to the north of Columbus. Massimiliano "Max" Papis (born 3 October 1969) is an Italian professional motorsport driver who has competed in several top-level motorsports events such as Le Mans 24 Hours, Formula One and Champ Car. Braselton ( ) is a town in Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson counties in the U.S. state of Georgia, approximately northeast of Atlanta.
