2005 Palmer Cup
The 2005 Palmer Cup was held on June 8–9, 2005 on the Irish Course, Whistling Straits, Haven, Wisconsin. The United States won 14 to 10. Format On Wednesday, there were four matches of four-ball in the morning, followed by eight singles matches in the afternoon. Four foursomes matches were played on the Thursday morning with a further eight singles in the afternoon. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. Whistling Straits
Whistling Straits is one of two 36-hole links (golf), links-style golf courses associated with Destination Kohler, a luxury golf resort owned and operated by the Kohler Company in Kohler, Wisconsin. The other course is Blackwolf Run, located in the Village of Kohler. The Whistling Straits complex is located north of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Sheboygan, in the unincorporated community of Haven, Wisconsin, Haven in the Mosel, Wisconsin, Town of Mosel in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Sheboygan County. Arnold Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. David Skinns
David Andrew Skinns (born 1 February 1982) is an English professional golfer. Skinns was born in Lincoln, England. He was the losing finalist in the 2000 Boys Amateur Championship. He attended the University of Tennessee and majored in psychology. Skinns competed on the NGA Hooters Tour and won seven times on the tour between 2008 and 2012. He played in a number of event on the Web.com Tour in 2012 and 2014 and on the PGA Tour Canada in 2013, 2015 and 2016. Matthew King Every (born December 4, 1983) is an American professional golfer who has won on both the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour. Early years Every was born in Daytona Beach, Florida. Augusta State University
Augusta State University was a public university in Augusta, Georgia. It merged with Georgia Health Sciences University in 2012 to form Georgia Regents University, later known as Augusta University.
