The 2005 Men's Hockey Champions Challenge took place in Alexandria, Egypt from April 1–9, 2005. Argentina earned a spot at the 2006 Champions Trophy in Terrassa, Spain after defeated Korea in the final. Alexandria

Lucas Rey
Lucas Rey (born 11 October 1982) is an Argentine field hockey midfielder, who plays club hockey in his native country for San Fernando. He is a member of the Men's National Team since 2002, and finished in 11th position at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Xavier Reckinger
Xavier Reckinger (born 20 December 1983) is a Belgian international field hockey player and coach of the Germany women's national field hockey team. He played for Braxgata in Boom and is a defender. Before he played with the KHC Dragons. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, with the national team, he finished fifth in the men's tournament. Matías Enrique Paredes (born 1 February 1982) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Ducilo and the Argentine national team.
