2004–05 ABA Goodyear League
Adriatic League expanded from 14 to 16 teams before the 2004–05 season. It was the second time since the inaugural 2001-02 that the competition expanded its number of teams. 16 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its fourth season: Union Olimpija, Helios, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona VIP, Zadar, Zagreb, Split Croatia Osiguranje, Šibenka Dalmare, Široki Hercegtisak, Bosna ASA BH TELECOM, Crvena zvezda, Partizan Pivara MB, Hemofarm, Reflex, Budućnost. In this season the league also decided to change the play-off system. The Final Tournament was expanded and renamed into the Final Eight Tournament. There were 30 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best eight teams qualified for the Final Eight Tournament which was played in Belgrade from April 28 until May 1, 2005. NLB League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The league coexists alongside scaled-down national leagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. All but one of Adriatic League clubs join their country's own competitions in late spring after the Adriatic League regular season and post-season have been completed. Hrvatski košarkaški klub Široki (), commonly referred to as HKK Široki or simply Široki, is a men's professional basketball Sports club, club based in Široki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Andrés Guillermo Rodríguez Fernández (born February 27, 1981) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player, who last played for Atenienses de Manatí of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional. He was born in Puerto Rico, where he debuted as a professional basketball played for the Criollos de Caguas in 1999. Kyle Hill
Kyle Eric Hill (born April 7, 1979) is an American retired professional basketball player. He was picked by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2001 NBA draft with the 44th overall draft pick. Hill's National Basketball Association, NBA rights were then traded by the Mavericks shortly after the draft to the Houston Rockets. Hill ended up never playing in an NBA game and is 1 of 8 players from the 2001 NBA Draft that never played a game in the league. Milenko Topić (; born 6 March 1969) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. Playing career A power forward, Topić spent most of his professional career playing in the YUBA League, representing Profikolor, BFC Beočin, Crvena zvezda, Budućnost, and Hemofarm. In the later career, he also played in Italy for Montepaschi Siena and Olimpia Milano, as well as in Greece for Rethymno, until his retirement in 2008. KK Šibenik
Košarkaški klub Šibenik, commonly referred to as KK Šibenik or simply Šibenik, was a men's professional basketball club based in Šibenik, Croatia. It was considered one of the best Croatian basketball clubs. In 2010, KK Šibenik bankrupted and was dissolved. History The club was founded on 27 December 1973 under the name Šibenka. During six seasons altogether club managed to qualify for the Yugoslav First Basketball League, then one of the best leagues in Europe. In 1983 Šibenka won the Yugoslav Championship final game against Bosna, but was later controversially stripped of the title.
