Ivan Basso
Ivan Basso (born 26 November 1977) is an Italian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 1999 and 2015 for seven different teams. Basso, nicknamed Ivan the Terrible, was considered among the best mountain riders in the professional field in the early 21st century, and was considered one of the strongest stage race riders. He is a double winner of the Giro d'Italia, having won the race in 2006 for and 2010 for . In 2007 Basso admitted he was planning to use blood doping and was suspended for two years. His suspension ended on 24 October 2008, and he returned to racing two days later in the Japan Cup, where he placed a close third behind Damiano Cunego and Giovanni Visconti. Iván Ramiro Parra Pinto (born 14 October 1975 in Sogamoso) is a Colombian former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally for Petróleos de Colombia, , , , Cafes Baque, , , and . Parra comes from a Colombian cycling family. His father, Humberto was a successful in the Vuelta a Colombia, his eldest brother was the Colombian climber Fabio Parra who won stages in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España in the 1980s. His other brother (named after his father) Humberto was also a professional cyclist for several years. Parra started cycling as a mountain bike rider and was the Colombian national MTB champion in 1994. He represented Colombia internationally as a mountain biker but changed to road racing. Leonardo Bertagnolli (born 8 January 1978 in Trento) is a retired Italian professional road bicycle racer, who rode as a professional between 2002 and 2012. He signed for , a new team in the 2009 season, though he rode for in the 2009 Giro d'Italia. It was unclear if Bertagnolli switched teams before 's mid-season collapse or after, and whether he continued with after the Giro or briefly returned to . Bertagnolli announced his retirement from the sport after competing in the Italian National Championships in June 2012. It later emerged that the Union Cycliste Internationale had launched disciplinary proceedings into Bertagnolli, in the light of an alleged anti-doping violation via his biological passport, and he was given a sanction of 2 years and ten months as well as disqualified from 1 January 2003 to 18 May 2011. Dario Frigo (born 18 September 1973) is an Italian former professional road bicycle racer. Career Frigo's transition to professional began at the 1995 Giro del Veneto, riding as a stagiaire for . In 1996, he was officially signed to Saeco on a four-year contract. In 1999, he obtained his first victory at the Dekra Open, in Germany. In 2000, he joined the Fassa Bortolo team and achieved success, winning the Giro di Campania, as well as a stage of the Giro del Trentino. He also finished second overall in the Tour de Suisse. More success came for him in early 2001, when he won the time trial at the Col d'Èze and the overall classification of Paris–Nice, as well as the general classification of the Tour de Romandie. Karsten Kroon
Karsten Kroon (born 29 January 1976) is a Dutch former professional road bicycle racer who most recently rode for , a UCI ProTeam. He retired at the end of the 2014 season. Career Born in Dalen, Kroon showed his talent as an amateur by winning the professional Ronde van Drenthe in 1996. He joined the youth squad in 1997 and won a number of amateur races in two years. In 1999, he moved to the senior squad. His few wins included stage 8, on Bastille Day, of the 2002 Tour de France. Steffen Wesemann (born 11 March 1971) is a Swiss-German former professional road racing cyclist. He competed in the individual road race at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Wesemann most recently rode for the professional continental team Cycle Collstrop after riding a year with the Team Wiesenhof-Felt squad.
