The 2004 Proximus Spa 24 Hours was the 57th running of the Spa 24 Hours and the seventh round the 2004 FIA GT Championship season. This event combined the FIA GT's two classes (GT and N-GT) with cars from national series and one-make series, designated G2 and G3. Spa 24 Hours
The 24 Hours of Spa is an Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance racing event for cars held annually since 1924 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot, Belgium. It is currently sponsored by TotalEnergies. History The Spa 24 Hours was conceived by Jules de Their and Henri Langlois Van Ophem just one year after the inaugural 24 Hours of Le Mans was run. It debuted in 1924 over a circuit on public roads between the towns of Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot, under the auspices of the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB). The present circuit was inaugurated in 1979 with only slight variations since then. Lilian Bryner
Lilian Bryner (born 21 April 1959) is a racing driver from Switzerland. Career She has mainly raced in the FIA GT Championship from 1997 until 2005 and has raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Her first race at Le Mans was in 1993, but her most successful was finishing second in the GT2 class with Ecurie Biennoise and ninth overall in 1994. In 1995 she joined Stadler Motorsport but in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans her #79 Porsche 911 GT2 retired completing 81 laps. In the same year she entered in the BPR Global GT Series and finished 3rd in the standings taking only one podium. She did not race at Le Mans until 1997 where she once again retired completing 98 laps. Jörg Bergmeister
Jörg Bergmeister (born 13 February 1976, in Leverkusen) is a former racing driver from Germany and an ambassador of Porsche. His late father, Willi Bergmeister, owned a workshop and dealership where Michael Schumacher learned his trade as a car mechanic in the 1980s. Since 1996, Jörg has raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup. In 2006 he won the Grand-American Rolex Series Championship. He also won the 2003 24 Hours of Daytona overall in a Porsche 911 GT3-RS. His most recent achievement is 1st place at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the GT Class with TRG. He also won the Porsche Supercup in 2001, and the German Cup in 2000. Romain Dumas (born 14 December 1977) is a French racing driver and a Porsche factory driver. He first started out in karting and single-seater before becoming an expert driver in endurance racing, GT and sport-prototype. Emmanuel Collard (born 3 April 1971) is a French professional racing driver. He is a former member of the Porsche Junioren factory team, but also drives for other marques. The Ferrari 575M Maranello (Type F133) is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer manufactured by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. Launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006.
