2004 Nebelhorn Trophy
The 2004 Nebelhorn Trophy took place between September 2 and 5, 2004 at the Eislaufzentrum. The compulsory dance was the Rhumba. It is an international senior-level figure skating competition organized by the Deutsche Eislauf-Union and held annually in Oberstdorf, Germany. The competition is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. It was one of the first international senior competitions of the season. Oberstdorf
Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships introduced pair skating in 1908. Like the other disciplines, pair skating competitions consist of two segments, the short program and the free skating program. Maciej Kuś
Maciej "Maciek" Kuś (born 2 August 1982) is a Polish former competitive figure skater. He is the 2004–05 Polish national champion, and competed once at the European Figure Skating Championships, where he placed 27th. He competed twice at the World Figure Skating Championships, placing 31st in 2003 and 34th in 2005. He was 23rd at the 2002 Junior Worlds and placed 16th at the 2005 Winter Universiade. Kuś coaches skating at LIL Bergen in Norway. In August 2015, he helped coach at Glacier Skate International Training Academy in Whitefish, Montana. Sergei Dmitriyevich Davydov (russian: Серге́й Дмитриевич Давыдов, born 2 March 1979 in Rostov-on-Don) is a former competitive figure skater who represented Belarus and Russia. For Belarus, he is the 2006 Cup of China silver medalist, two-time Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and eight-time (2001–2008) Belarusian national champion. He competed at two Olympics and placed as high as 7th at the World Championships (2003) and 4th at the European Championships (2007). For Russia, he is the 1998 World Junior silver medalist. Derrick Delmore (born December 12, 1978) is an American figure skater. He is the 1998 World Junior champion, the 2000 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, 2000 Karl Schäfer Memorial bronze medalist, and 1999 U.S. National Collegiate champion. Personal life Derrick Delmore was born on December 12, 1978 at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. In 1995, he was awarded the Paderewski medal for a decade of playing classical piano at the national level. Jamal Aziz Othman (born 13 August 1986 in Worb, Canton of Bern) is a Swiss former competitive figure skater. He is the 2009 Swiss national champion and a five-time (2002, 2005–2007, 2010) national silver medalist. Career Othman began skating at age six after previously trying gymnastics and rock and roll dancing. He was the 1999 Swiss Novice Champion and the 2000 and 2001 Swiss Junior Champion.
